according to Jim Brown, again. He's really being outspoken about Trent, I wonder why?

quote:
"I think the kid is a good working back, and if you've got everything else around him he can play his role," Brown said of Richardson in an interview with WKNR radio in Cleveland. "But when it comes to outstanding, I don't see anything outstanding about him. It's not said in a cruel manner. He's very efficient, and that's what you want."
"I'm not trying to be mean. There are certain people you look at and there's something special about them. I don't see it."
Brown acknowledged Richardson's impressive strength during the interview but said that strength does not matter as much as speed and quickness in the NFL.
"But you're not going to make it with strength and ordinary speed and quickness," Brown said. "I don't think it's even an issue. When you deal with Richardson, he comes out of that Alabama mold. He'll work hard for you, and he's kind of an all-around back. But if you look at Cleveland, I would have gotten me a couple of receivers."

Are we recycling pre-draft news today?

Jim Brown wasn't a CFB analyst for a reason...

Who cares what that angry man has to say?

Maybe he is trying to talk him down so Richardson will in return work harder and prove him wrong..
Or maybe he really thinks that there is nothing special about him....

Maybe the browns can draft another Bama player next year so Bama fans can switch over to being Cleveland fans instead of saints fans

frick Jim Brown.
And I am sorry but what the frick would he know about the NFL today? I cant wait for TR to have about 1200 rushing yards this season.

I think he'll have a Carnell type career without the injuries...good rb but not a league leader in yards or tds.

I just can't figure out why Jim Brown is always so butthurt

I hope TR does well because he really is good person. All last year I wondered how would he fair in the NFL, because he was really dominate against lesser talent. When Bama played LSU he had to fight for every inch. So is his performance against LSU a sign of how he will look in the NFL?

Don't you guys think maybe he's saying all this shite to make TR better? I don't think the old man gives two shits about what people will say he just wants Trent to use that as motivation.

running in college was easy for TR. he was on a team with so many highly recruited players. now it's time to see how he does with average players around him.

I think Trent Richardson is going to be a helluva NFL running back.
Jim Brown is the best running back in NFL history.
Jim Brown is also a well known opinionated a-hole. Maybe he'll be right, maybe he'll be wrong.
If I were you, I'd just unwad the ol' panties, not give a shite, and wait and see.
