Someone needs to tell the St Louis Commission that there are playoffs in teh works and bowls are now worthless.

I hope that's true, but this is being fueled by the loss of the Mizzou-Illinois game every year in St. Louis I think. Illinois got tired of losing.

I get why STL wants a Big 10 team, but I'd rather have an SEC-PAC matchup. Big 10 teams are like watching paint dry.

It can be the 10th best SEC team vs. the 5th best B1G team.

So basically Missouri vs. Iowa every year

ETA: And we all know how that worked out last time

Aside from USC, Stanford, and Oregon, the PAC is awful.

But we already have plenty of Big 10 bowl games versus the SEC. I'd like to see something fresh.

If they made this the first game of the year and rotated SEC and B1G teams, THAT would be interesting.

Another bowl game?

Yep...a lot of conferences are "awful". A PAC tie-in at least provides something more unique.

How many SEC fans would be excited about going to St. Louis, MO in January? Count me out of that one.

Arizona State is good from time to time
Cal has been ranked a d to a lot of bowl games recently
UCLA will be a ton better with Jim Mora Jr.

I love the idea of making it an opening weekend game every year and rotating SEC and B1G games, that would be awesome.

that's a lot more appealing than heading to STL in December/January
