Student body as a whole doesn't really care...Only people really affected are some incoming freshmen and the corps block but they prob don't care much either...next

The seats will be sold but they are not seats that require a high donation because they are in the east stands. The sun over there is brutal and all the big money guys sit in the shade on the west side.

Generally the season tickets in the section right next to the effected section go for a flat per ticket rate with no required donation or a very low donation. It really won't change anything but where the corps sits.

You acutally think that the sun will keep dollar Bill Byrne form getting big money for those seats??? This move will help our athletic department generate more revenue...not a big deal at all. I am sure Dollar Bill is sending Slive a thank you letter as we speak.

I was responding to the comment about donation points etc. Those seats are not big doner seats, historically large donations have not been required for the "Young Alumni" seats.

historically
we had Iowa State and Baylor on the schedule and didn't sell out season tickets. First deck, 30-40 yard line seats will command a pretty penny.

I bought six tickets down in 141. They're cheap compared to the Zone first deck where I had seats last year. It doesn't make sense to me why seats on the 30 yd line 8 rows up would be so cheap, but I'm not complaining.

Naked ... I am telling you it is because of the sun. I have sat down there a couple of times when I get tickets off of stub hub.

The Ok State game last year was brutal. But the people over there are generally more active; we always try to get seats in the same area when we get a chance to go and over the past 5 years have made some good friends.

Having said that, I think the waiver should have been granted. If State gets to keep their stupid cowbells, aTm should be able to continue their 12th man tradition.
No. I think they need to do away with the cowbells too.

they cheat. they dont obey the new standards. they use them to prevent the other team from hearing changes at the line of scrimmage.

OOOOWWWW. I am so mad!!!

...oh, wait.
1. I'm not a student anymore.
2. I never had a 1-25 seat on the 1st deck when I was a student.
3. CTs and BQs get all the 1-25 seats anyway.
4. Did I mention. not a student.

Did anybody really expect a different outcome? Seriously?

who gives a shite.... honestly if they cannot get around that and play, then they have no future in the NFL in those environments. besides - its not like its working out for State anyway,

I sat over there for a early September game against Southern Miss in the late 90's. I went up to the concession stand, got a cup of ice, poured the ice into a bandanna, placed it on my head, put a cap over it and went back down to my seat. The ice had completely melted away within 10 minutes.

There was plenty of shade beneath everyone else because they were standing but my Aggie buddy didn't want me sitting down.

The game was a good defensive struggle that I do believe the Aggies narrowly won. I had a good time but damn it was hot.

Every early September home game there are always kids that pass out and get put in the ambulance for heat exhaustion/dehydration from the heat+tailgating. The Fresno State game in 07 was the absolute worst. They put in cooling stations but that only does so much

Kyle Field is still in College Station, Texas?

I thought the Aggies moved to the SEC.

The Tech game in 02 was the worst I can remember, it was my freshman year and I was on 3rd deck. Sweltering hot, absolutely no breeze at all, and to top it off the tards beat us by 1 in OT.

Aggies enjoy taking beatings.

They'll love you for it.

When did this 25 row rule start? Anybody know?

If I had to guess, it would have been some time in the early 90s, after Arkie joined. Emarite?
