Well, ever since I was kidnapped by aliens 10 years ago, I've been really itching for some payback.

the vet school at MSU visits the one my dad runs all the time in the summer.. they come out and look at the hatchery, how the fish are harvested, the ponds and equipment.

It's really an interesting operation. Involves a shite ton of work and the overhead costs are very high to maintain the farm, but with proper management, stocking rates, diseases and oxygen management ,and maintaining financing you can make millions. You can also lose your arse quick... nobody should attempt to get in the business without years of experience first. I love it, everyday you have to deal with something new so you never get bored with the same old thing.

Sounds just like my Auburn friend I grew up with. His initials aren't WL btw. He (and his brother) took over the business from his father probably 10 years ago so they grew up around it their whole lives. They have a rather large operation in Alabama (probably 80 to 100 ponds).

I remember my friend's dad taking a lot of us for a grand tour of the place when we were in grade school. Fascinating to see all the equipment and all the oxygen sensors, the egg nurseries, the minnow hatchlings, etc.

I have some mineral rights in Mississippi. The gas fields in south Mississippi are expected to be the next big thing.

Go right ahead. I have no idea where it is (inherited) and the only time I might step foot down there is to come for a game!

Speaking of mineral rights, Tuscaloosa County has a big pocket of natural gas. It's supposedly produces most of the natural gas that the state produces.

I do too albeit sub-divided many, many times. We had gas wells 25 years or so ago but they shut down. What is new that they would re-explore?
