I'd like to hear from fans of SEC teams with QB battles on who they think their starting QB will eventually be and why.

Teams with QB Competitions

Auburn: Kiehl Frazier, Clint Moseley, Zeke Pike

Florida: Jacoby Brissett, Jeff Driskel

Kentucky: Morgan Newton, Maxwell Smith, Jacob Russell

LSU: Zach Mettenberger (lock?), Jerrard Randall, Stephen Rivers

Mississippi State: Dak Prescott, Tyler Russell

Ole Miss: Barry Brunetti, Randall Mackey, Zach Stoudt, Bo Wallace

Texas A&M Matt Davis, Matt Joeckel, Johnny Manziel, Jameil Showers

To follow my request, I'll say that I think Johnny Manziel will win the Texas A&M job. Parade All American High School QB that is a passer, but can gain yards / time with his athletic ability when a play breaks down.

(Teams with Diminished Competition / Clear Starting QBs)

Alabama: AJ McCarron;
Arkansas: Tyler Wilson
Georgia: Aaron Murray
Missouri: James Franklin* (Out with shoulder)
South Carolina: Connor Shaw
Tennessee: Tyler Bray
Vanderbilt: Jordan Rodgers

Smith is #1 on the depth chart right now. Newton will probably drop to #3 in the summer once Towles comes in.

I could honestly see us going witha 2 QB set, alternating starts.

Permanent QB draw for Frazier, who occasionally laterals to Moseley for all forward passes, who signals to Pike for a "that guy" moment on the sidelines.

Vandy fans I know do not think Rodgers will win the job. He was pretty bad last year.

OM: Bo Wallace first string with Brunetti as number two

Eta: Wallace will be the best passer of the group as well as having previous knowledge of Freeze's system. Also he's relatively mobile so that helps in a spread-style offense. Brunetti (and Mackey) are probably more mobile than Bo but ate lacking in the accuracy needed for a system that throw so much. Plus both are around 6'0 (maybe less) and Bo is closer to 6'4-6'5. Stoudt sucks altogether.

from those i talked too the wyoming guy transfer may give him a run for his money but Rodgers probably ends up winning out

My biggest fear about our QB position is that Mettenberger/Randall will become Lee/Jefferson, part 2.

Mettenberger should be the clear cut, number 1 starter. But Miles loves QBs who can run - and that's Jerrad Randall.

With having the best QB in the SEC, our starting slot is set.

The battle will be for 2nd string between red shirt freshmen Brandon Allen and RS-Junior/PF Brandon Mitchell.

Maybe the few I know are just hoping. They really hold a low opinion of Rodgers. More interceptions than touchdowns last season.

The Wyoming transfer has a good chance from what I've heard, but I haven't followed it at all.

Russell and Dak will both play. I'd say Russell takes 70% of the snaps if both stay healthy though. Dak will have some packages similar to Relf IMO.

LINK
Had 2 or 3 good games, but at the end of the season was playing so bad Franklin pulled him for Larry Smith.

Last 3 games of the season he was 28-61 with 2 TDs and 4 INTs.

Carta-Samuels will get the nod imo.
