What is the first thought that pops into your mind, Gator coach or South Carolina coach?
I am very biased as I am a Gator, but he is my favorite Gator coach and I still can't grasp the concept that he is at USC. Some Gators may think he is a traitor, but to me he will always be Gator Numero Uno in my mind.
How bout those of you who aren't affiliated with either school, what will you think when you look back on the Ole Ball Coach when he hangs up the visor?

As a man that never came close to beating A&M, and that is what ended his coaching career.

Gator coach who skulldrug LSU waayyyy too many times in the 90's.
Sometimes I forget he even coaches at USC. He used to be this intimidating, daunting figure at UF.

He's a gator.
It's kinda like if Michael Jordan was a bull or a wizard.

Gator forever. He'll tell you that now and when he retires. It's a shame he's in the SEC but I'm happy for him.
What I don't want to see is him stick around too long at USC until he becomes senile like Bowden. I would love for him to come back to Gainesville in some capacity down the road (QB coach perhaps but I doubt it).
If he doesn't win the East this year I think he should hang it up and play golf. He's getting to the point of no return.

He will always be the Florida coach in my mind. The teams that he fielded at Florida were awesome.

He never played a&m while at UF, as a player or coach.
eta: a&m hasn't played a SOS coached team, come to think of it. They will this year though.

your bringing a big 12 defense with a CUSA coach...I'd hold off on the shite talking.

I'm impressed with your ability to type while giving a "Yell Leader" a reach around.
Good Job!!!!

Has always been the better coach when coaching against UGA, whether at UF or SC. Sorry to see him leave the Redskins really.

As a USC fan, we understand we have him on loan from UF.
That being said, he has been the best thing to ever happen to our program. Additionally, he has contributed significantly to local charities and given back a lot to the University.
His tenure here will be remembered as a lot more than a footnote to his career.

I think spurrier will be remembered for both. He bootstrapped USC to success. He won a couple championships at florida. He'll go down as an SEC legend.

Being a Floridian I am old enough to remember when he was a player at Florida. Pretty good then too wouldn't you say. I love his quote "winners admire other winners, losers resent winners" Kinda sums up the people who love to knock him. One thing is for sure, he will not care too much about what his distractors think about him. Hope he just hangs it up like Bryant, Royal, Osborne and a few others did. Very few however.
