re: Top 3 QB in the SEC (going into 2013)

Lets give A.J. some credit. It's hard to throw the football with all those N.C. rings on your fingers. The others don't have that problem.

Would you say there were a lot of players that played on a College National Championship team and then went on to play on a Super Bowl winning team? Only one coach that I know of. Jimmy Johnson.

Really, about the only tackles he made were when a running back stepped on his chest and he hung on until help arrived.

What a scary thought. I know Muschamp is going to have this on his mind all year long as he sure wouldn't want to be responsible for seeing the ledger balanced for the past 20 years or so. Guess this will bother Spurrier too.
Anything to the rumor that Richt has changed the Georgia motto from FINISH THE DRILL To FIVE MORE YARDS?

All these posts about burning a redshirt and not one mention that if Murray goes down the dawgs will burn the shirt off H.Mason(and the end of his career) as they have no credible backup with game experience(not that Mason has either).

Gator fan here, but don't see what Murray's "no interview" has to do with Richts game play. Only reason I am posting is because there was a full page Q&A in the AJC this week featuring Murray. Why the hell isn't that enough for the press???? They will just ask the same dumb questions over and over. Thats why Spurrier, Saban, Myles, etc. display a lack of patience with them.
re: Bama v Dawgs

I am a Gator, but I see Fla. as several skill players away from a NC team which is obvious. I see UGA having a problem if Murray gets hurt. He never comes out of a game, the backup gets no meaningful playing time no matter how great the UGA fans thinks he would be. Last week A.J. threw six passes and came out in the 2nd qtr. Murray threw 4 t.d.'s and came out with six minutes to go in the game, as is usually the case. Check out the team stats in today's AJC. Bama is right up at the top in points scored and points not given up and the backups get plenty of playing time in meaningful situations. Remember what happened to Texas when they lost Colt McCoy early and the backup wasn't really ready to play.
re: Why does Georgia think they have a chance?

One thing is for sure. The way it stands right now UGA will have the chance to put up or shut up. Get by G.Tech & Bama and you are there. I bet half of the fans are estatic and the other half dread the trip.
re: "Ghosts of Ole Miss"

Well, I can honestly say I lived through this having been in Laurel(l962-64) and my wife being from Mississippi. Also, we had many problems in and around the Laurel area during that time. I know quite a few people who did some serious jail time during this period. This is the second time I have seen this in the past few years(or,another one just like it). I was confused when he mentioned Billy Cannon's famous run during the 1962 season. I must have misunderstood as Cannon made that run on haloween night, 1959?
re: If Georgia beats Florida, the match is set

Got to agree, mighty weak thread. But, you have to give it to the Dogs. They like to dream big, and can always wait until next year.
re: Why can't Murray win a big game ?
Posted by keene on 10/24/12 at 10:24 am
Pressure..false confidence while running up the score on weaker teams. But, Georgia will be in a world of hurt if they have to depend on the back up who never gets any "quality" playing time against the good teams they do play. Being 5"11" doesn't help much either.
re: "Florida at #2 in the BCS is a joke"
Posted by keene on 10/16/12 at 9:15 am
I read all these posts and not one "fire Muschamp". Florida must be doing something right cause last year and early this year a lot of you were saying he would be gone shortly. Quite a few fans stil saying "fire him" but they are talkng about their own coach now. I agree, the polls are silly, but before it is over the road to the top will sort itself out.
re: How do you feel about Thursday Night games?
Posted by keene on 10/12/12 at 8:49 am
I will go with Bear Bryant on this one. Weekdays are for high schools, Sundays for the Pros. Colleges should stick with Saturday. Someday after over exposure the Colleges will realize this.
re: Has Bama beat a team with a winning record this season?

Other thatn LSU there is not another team in the SEC that would have opened with Michigan, maybe S.C.
re: Your QB gets hurt. Who's screwed the most?

How about UGA ? No matter what the fans who don't like him think they will be in a lot of hurt without him.
re: Moving the SEC Championship out of Atlanta...
Posted by keene on 7/23/12 at 7:51 am
Sounds like sportswriters talking. Find something that someone worked hard to make a success out of(remember Birmingham?) and then change it for the worse. Already a 4 team format championship for N.C. and people are saying 4 is not enough need at least 8,etc.etc. No one can improve on what Atlanta has done for the SEC Champtionship, and I am a Gator. When it ain't broke don't try to fix it.
re: Which SEC football team will backslide the most this season?

At least Alabama has a desired position to backslside from.

I thought it was a QB from Miami about 50 years ago. George Mira ??
re: If Spurrier had his way (division records only for SECCG)
Posted by keene on 4/21/12 at 8:15 am
I am a Spurrier fan but don't agree with his thinking on this. Go back a # of years and UCLA won the division but lost all of the outside games ended up like 6-6 still went to the Rose Bowl.
