Leadership was a problem for Bama in 2010, we're in much better shape going into 2012.

One could argue this.

I see 7 Seniors, 3 on Offense and 4 on Defense. Plus, there is a lot of experienced underclassmen. Much different than 2010 when the PROCESS was in it's early stages.

1-0, what does that have to do with anything?

nothing, I just wanted to see it in writing.

Bama's all time record at LSU is great, just like LSU record at Bama over the last 30 years.

you won't find me arguing with this

wasn't sure anything would bite at that old bait I was using. turns out i caught something on the first cast. :)

Who were the best players on the 2011 D? How many of them will be back?

No doubt the team will be talented and very, very good. Could easily win the SEC.

Their best were

1. Upshaw LB
2. Hightower LB
3. Barron S
4. Menzie CB
5. Kirkpatrick CB
6. Lester S
7.Mosley- I think he was hurt for a good bit of the season. LB

Out of those they return Mosley and Lester. They lose their top playmakers at LB(not a problem) and both CB's.

Meh. Dee Milliner has 18 career starts at corner.

My guess is Alabama's turnover in defensive personal more of a Sept 1st issue than a Nov 1st concern

One of the reasons I think Alabama lost as much as they did in 2010 was that they hadn't lost a game in almost 2 years, and some of the edge was gone. This points to leadership and youth. There were also a few injuries, but that happens to everyone. Since they missed out on the SECCG last year, and had a bad 2010, I'm interested to see how they handle this year. starters have left, but backups have had lots of playing time. That matched with the fact that they typically do well on the road makes me think it will be closer than lots of LSU fans want it to be. I think it's too close to predict.

Trying to pick the.winner of this game based on experience is sort of silly at this level. Clearly LSU did well with a young team this year. I think the difference will be largely based on game plans, mental atitudes, and team chemistry.

Who looks to be the starter opposite of him? One of those JUCO CB's?

Weren't both Hightower, Ingram and Menzie recovering from injuries still? Someone also had broken ribs. Every year someone plays with broken ribs at Alabama. .... Bama should have broken Julio's hand every year judging by how he played his junior year.

I wasn't doing that. I just listed your best players like someone asked.

All of those guys were hurt. And I think McElroy had broken ribs. I can't remember. Saban plays people and they play like shite, and then we find out they were hurt.

he reminds me of this Chris rock bit.

I could see saban pouring Robbutussin on their ribs and telling them to play through.

I think Barron had an injury or played through it in 2010 as well.

Bama hasn't been a regular season dog since the UGA blackout game. Wow!

I don't think it was any secret that LSU's defense was vulnerable to short, underneath stuff. I think quite a few of us predicted Bama's offensive attack accurately.
