Yup, I think so...he goes to the same school that Prosch graduated from.

The one I can not figure out is how Dre was 2nd team AA. How many tackles and Ints did he have this year ?

Though I hate the circumstances for his transfer (and pray for his mother and family) I am happy that he will be on the Plains...seems like a great kid on and off the field

Illinois All-American FB is transferring to Auburn...
llinois fullback Jay Prosch will transfer to Auburn, the Illini announced Wednesday.
Prosch had told the Alabama Press-Register that he wanted to transfer to be closer to his mother who is recovering from brain cancer and to find a system that better suits him than the spread offense new coach Tim Beckman will use.
Prosch served mostly as a blocking back in his two seasons with Illinois, carrying only twice for nine yards. He led special teams this season with 10 tackles.
In 2010, he helped running back Mikel Leshoure set a team rushing record. Prosch was named a first-team All-American by Pro Football Weekly on Dec. 12 and was an Academic All-Big Ten honoree this year.

Doesn't take much to be a "Pro Football Weekly" AA

Good pick up Aubbies. I'm a fan of any offense that utilizes a true FB. Its a lost art these days.

Because you will play against him on the field...or because he'll interrupt your pompomp waving in the standing section of BDS?

Didn't Hillis play FB/RB? I know he would've been damn good if he wasn't behind 2 better backs in McFadden and Jones.

Emotional stuff.
I don't how he will fit in AU, but he is a stump and seems like a good guy.

Put him in the Eric Smith role (on the field, not off). Regardless of what type of offense we run next year, we need a good lead blocker who can also empty out into the passing game. Smith was clutch when he did that. Almost always seemed to get a first down or TD when he caught the ball.

So will he file a waiver to be able to play this year?

Prosch, 6-foot, 250 pounds, is transferring to be closer to his mother, Iris, who was diagnosed with brain cancer last year.
Prosch is enrolled at Auburn for the spring semester and has three years to play two on the Plains.
Prosch, a former All-State linebacker at UMS Wright, played in all 13 games at Illinois as a freshman in 2010, and was named first-team All-American by Pro Football Weekly as a sophomore in 2011.
Although he has had limited carries and receptions in two seasons at Illinois, he is considered to be one of the top blocking fullbacks in the country.
Prosch has applied for a hardship that would grant him immediate eligibility at Auburn.
