Alabama actually should have 16 national championships not 13

1945- finished the season undefeated and untied and blew out USC in the Rose Bowl, should have gotten a share of the national title
1966- Alabama finished the year undefeated and untied but the pollsters decided to give cowardly Notre Dame the national title after they decided to take a knee and intentionally tie Michigan State instead of going for the win. Furthermore Alabama was 2x defending national champions. In any other sport if an active champion was never knocked off, you don't take that title and give it to someone else. Somebody has to beat the champs and nobody ever did. Alabama was robbed that year.
1977- Alabama came into the bowl season ranked #3 in the country. Both the #1 team in the country (Texas) and the #2 team in the country (Oklahoma) lost their bowl games. Alabama demolished a very good Ohio State team in the Sugar Bowl. However #5 Notre Dame jumped over Alabama to win the national championship. Notre Dame's only loss that year was to a 5-6 Ole Miss team. Alabama beat that same Ole Miss team by a score of 34-13. Alabama's only loss that year was a narrow 31-24 loss to a 9-3 Nebraska in Lincoln.
It's really unfortunate that Alabama was robbed so many times by the pollsters. This is what the national championship leaderboard should really look like.

Lets just discuss the amount of Alabama players that quit when they played the first time around. I'll tell you, more of your team quit that game than national titles you can claim.

Wow, it is not enough that LSU and now Arkansas bring up Bama's national championships on a daily basis. Now, you have to help them out?
frick man, let it go.

Bammers logic. Bammers want to count their MNC one way and everyone else's using a different standard. The SEC gives Bammer 8, that is great and much more than most schools. Be happy, you should have 9 soon.
