Absolutely.

You ever play organized sports?

Organized sports as a child isn't quite equal to grown men doing what they're supposed to be doing.

Nobody from the Jets organization has said anything negative about it or said that he didn't address it. Aren't you assuming he didn't? It's basically fans and 50/50 talking heads having a cow about it.

Unless ESPN is mis reporting, several players have tweeted about it and are furious. One player stated he didn't even know McElroy was on their team. I watched numerous former NFL players, All Pros, say his career is over and he should have done it privately.

Not just fans and talking heads. Actually, the ONLY people I've heard justify it are Bama fans. I'm being honest.

Sounds like some bleeding vag's and guilty feelings then. Too many prima donnas in the NFL that needs to be called out for their crappy attitudes.

Greg McElroy is just realizing what I've known for a loooong time...college ball is 1000X better than Pro ball. One of the primary reasons is what he mentioned.

I completely agree. My point is, though, it should be done first privately to their face, in front of the team. Not publicly after you leave the city and go home.

And it should be done by a team leader that has been in the league a while and earned some skins and respect. Not a practice squad player.

You have to see the difference, right?

I'm pretty sure it was a phone call...he could have been in the NYJ locker room for all we know.

they're making six or seven digit figures. It shouldn't have to be done at all. If it is done and it's accurate, it doesn't matter to me when or where. Those folks need to get their arse reamed and told to shape up, not deflect and attack the one speaking truth.

Yeah, brilliant. I would guess his NFL career is over as no one is likely to pick him up. He is a 4th string clipboard holder with a big mouth.

If the article linked is all he said, that ain't shite. The "locker isn't a fun place to be"? Oohhh. No shite I'm sure it's not if you're losing. And if players are selfish, they're selfish. He didn't name names.

link?

I just read the espn article, and the General Manager is quoted saying that GMac previously spoke with him about it. He also says that other players and coaches talked to him about the same things. So, that kind of rips that part of your argument to pieces.

Also, just judging by the handful of comments under the article by Jets fans, they seem to respect GMac for speaking up. A few of them even said that they would like to see GMac get an opportunity to really challenge Sanchez next year for the starting job because he seems like a much better leader. Obviously these are just a handful of comments, but I am just proving that Bama fans are not the only ones justifying it.

Well, there appears to be a lack of understanding of the concept of team and sports in general coming from many bama fans here.

Ironically, I am positive Saban disagree with you bama fans 110% and knows GMAC was way out of line and what he did was very stupid and something he absolutely was wrong to do in the manner he did it.

Seems to be a bigger one by some women in the Jets locker room and fans who have less to say about the problem and more about someone who is honest enough to put his name behind his criticism.

From a few thousand miles away.

Again, I am sure Saban would disagree with you bama fans defending GMAC and would think you are both dumb and and problem for doing so.

This is hilarious. I have read the comments section of at least 5 different articles on the situation, and the vast majority of comments are giving Mcelroy mad props. Haters gonna hate, I guess.

He was on the phone. How do you know how far away he was? Another assumption. Jets players are a bunch of whiny women, just like the fans whining about a general criticism of them not being a team player, in a team sport.

Ok. You guys win. I'm moving on. GMAC is awesome and will have a long successful NFL career calling out teammates over the phone to the media.
