reading all the smug LSU and Bama posters, is that next week, one of these fan bases is going to be even more disappointed and upset than what I am feeling right now. Just a thought that sort of soothes my soul that was already pissed this holiday season by getting absolutely no time off due to the Sunday holidays.

yes but both of those teams aren't being coached by richt for the next 5 years and they still have something uga doesn't to comfort them.

The difference is they lose in the national championship game, not the outback bowl.

Even though one of us has to lose next Monday night, both of us will still be championship caliber programs. UGA won't be, and never will be under Richt. So you should still be miserable.

I actually feel for you.
But:
If LSU loses, they are SEC Champions and lost in the BCS CG to a team it has beaten already
If Bama loses, they will ONLY have lost to the#1 team,in the BCS CG, and having won the BCS Championship just 2 years ago.
Seems like neither team should be too terribly downtrodden

Nah. At worst Alabama will be 11-2 and coming off a BCS bowl. Will finish off another top three recruiting class. And will open 2012 in the top five. We'll be fine.

We will see come next week. For all the bravado, one of your fan bases is going to be extremely disappointed. As far as next year, meh. Hope always springs eternal. Next year is always available.

To be completely truthful with you, I would be far more disappointed to have the caliber team to make it to the MNC and then lose it. The expectations are just different. Hell, Bammers went ballistic when they lost a regular season game by 3.
