This is the worst way to compare 2 teams ever. YOu have to compare units that face each other. Bama's AB and LSU's QB will never be on the field at the same time.
This one is easy.
ADVANTAGE DEFENSE FOR BOTH TEAMS.

The thread is NOT about matchups. It is about position comparisons. That is all.

My point is that comparing positions is a waste of time.
I don't care if lsu DB's are better than Bama's DB's if LSU is going up against the greatest show on Turf. Does it matter?

Bama's O-Line would have to have been exposed pretty bad for that to happen, imo. If they go downfield like I'm assuming you think they will with 22+ pass attempts, it'd probably be because they're behind late. But I really think the only reason bama would throw against LSU at all is to open (or reopen) the run game, or to try and attack with the bubble screen again. I'm sure LSU's corners will be more prepared for the screen this time, but that in itself might allow for some better o-line play for bama.

pffffft.

This entire site is about "waste of time".

It is one thread. It was the thread starter's choice to make it about this. No big deal.

it could have been about which team has the best hair...or craziest nicknames.

This one is simply about comparing units.

I've never understood why one poster will lecture another on how he should conduct his own thread.

If you had to choose, would you pick Earnhardt or Bama?

I think LSU has the best overall hair with TM7, but Bama's depth wins out.

Nicknames is no contest because LSU fans nickname everything they see.

Which would you choose? 21 TD's and 4 int's or 18 TD's and 5 int's?

DB: Push and maybe a very small advantage to LSU

What kind of shite are you smoking? One of our DBs is the Defensove Player of the Year. Another one was a finalist for Hesiman. Another one had the play of the game in the first LSU/Bama game.

Advantage LSU.
LSU has better DL depth. Advantage LSU.

Coaching advantage to Bama? This is based on past hype--not this season & certainly not based on the way they managed the 11/5 game. Miles clearly outcoached Saban in that one.
