But why would he leave the SEC for the Sun Belt? At Auburn, there's been a disconnect this season between him and head coach Gene Chizik, a feeling of frustration at Chizik's increased involvement in the offense.

quote:

People close to Malzahn say he (Malzahn) believes one factor played a role in each of those schools (UNC, Kansas) going in a different direction: the Kristi Malzahn video.

Sports agent John Phillips of the Breakthrough Sports Agency acknowledged Wednesday night that he put together the edited version that appeared on YouTube. Phillips earned his undergraduate and law degrees at Alabama.

I've been hearing all the local bashing of her, because that video was a big reason for them leaving.

All the hate from this rivalry was too much for them and they wanted out of it for their family.

Anyway, I don't like a Bama fan making that video, but she left herself open by acting stupid.

The sports agent is an idiot for making that video and then admitting to it. Bashing an SEC coach's wife on youtube is definitely a good way to build relationships with coaches and their players.

Don't blame them.

It's turned into the worst rivalry in football.

I wish Auburn move to the east and put bama on the rotating schedule.

Fans take this shite too fricking seriously.

That is pathetic. A Bama grad made that video? Seriously? At some point, I hope we realize we are dealing with people's lives here. Yes, she was judgmental and over the top. But, I think the mocking and ridicule was a bit much.

You mean Paul Finebaum radio?

It seems to be the same callers every day...with a few guest (usually the same ones) and a few out of state callers... just stir the pot further

It's not a good representation of all Fans...but it certainly paints a perspective

She seems to be taking this WAYYYYY too seriously. (along with many other fans)

People that have "hate" for another school or football team have some deep seeded issues that they need to work out.

For a first step to chill the rivalry out I suggest mobile counseling centers patrolling the sidewalks...

I'm listening to 97.3 in Bham and they have a funny promo that rips finebaum and WJOX. You hear the voice of two rednecks yelling "I hate you" on it.

That's how all Bama and Auburn fans try to excuse it away.

This was not a parody of Gus, that would have been fair game... But yes they felt the Bammers were over the top...

She talks about a coach who would not shake Ted Roof's kids hand during a little league game because the ooach was a Bammer...

She talked about bammer killing our trees..

Yes the pressure of this rivalry was a lot for them..

That is not the ONLY reason they left, but it was part of it.

Why do bammmers feel the need to do this stuff?

All the guy did was splice together portions of the video and add a little commentary to it. He didn't change her words. These schools do so much due diligence when hiring a coach I am sure if they were concerned after watching the short version they would have asked to see the complete video. What the guy put together did not cost Malzahn a job and any auburn fan who tries to say different is a complete idiot.
