Louisiana and Alabama are nearly equal in demographics/population. More seasons than not LA produces a high school talent crop that is as good or slightly better than the Heart of Dixie.
There is zero in state competition here as Aub/Ala have that bitter heated rivalry--HS kids grow up wanting to play for the P&G.

If this is based on data that goes back all the way to 2001 I'm surprised Bama made the top 10. Those were some dark days, LOL.

Princeton and Yale have been the best coaching jobs since the late 1800's and will be forever.

Yea, imagine that. I'm sure things like a monster deal for a Longhorn network wouldn't change the rankings, nor would winning a NC, nor would losing seasons, nor a change in attendance. In fact the ratings haven't changed much since 1911 when Carlisle, Princeton, Yale, and Minnesota were on top. Oh wait, never mind.....

Well, that is a fortunate timeline for LSU.
Regarding pertinence to the article and the list this is true. However, LSU was still in the top 15 FBS programs of all time when the rollercoaster 80's and 90's ended so it's not like they had no history of being legitimate. Saban and Miles have certainly brought the program to the elite level they enjoy now in a relatively short period of time; twelve years.

I guess quality of life (city), humidity, stupidity and/or mosqoitos weren't taken into consideration.

No, I'm pretty sure that's why Alabama is ranked as low as it is. People like you.

1) LSU

As long as they are undefeated and playing for a NC. If they lose a game or 3, hottest seat in America.
At least LSU is not known for being a Graveyard,..where coach's go to retire or die...

I think that list is nearly perfect but I'd be tempted to make Texas number one overall or at least make it 1b with LSU.

I have no problem with that. Except one thing...I've always suspected that Texas high school players do better when they go out of state. Less sense of entitlement to deal with in coaching them.

If Louisiana had better roads the Governor should protest Obama to rename the country Louisiana and The Other 48. You guys just cant be beat.

Quite the phenomenon. Not sure why that happens.

And if your aunt could have outrun her brother, you wouldn't be here.

Oh, I thought this meant that the best coaching job in the nation was done by the LSU Coach. That's true too by the way.

To be fair, I should have said "tend to do better, than if they stay in state".
But you get my drift.

Ole Miss goes 2-8 and still beats out Moo State.
