Welcome to Austin, Nick
When is this supposed to be official? I goofed off and missed his introductory press conferences at USC, WVU, PSU, ND, and the Cowboys. I don't want to miss it when he is introduced at Texas.

Oh I agree. I like Les. I have never seen a coach with his demeanor and I love that he can laugh at himself. Yet he is as good of HC as any I have seen getting his kids to compete. I was just pointing out how shaky a coaches status is among his fan base.

This list reaffirms what I have thought. Times are changing and a lot of traditional powerhouse teams aren't all that attractive anymore, while other up-and-coming schools are becoming more and more attractive.
That being said, the SEC runs this.

i think its like that among any big time fanbase that actually cares. id say any of the big 6 in the sec but uga is slow about getting angry over failure to live up to expectations

You should probably learn how to read. That data takes into consideration everything since 2001.
What kind of players do you think Alabama recruited before 2008? Who is the common denominator between LSU and then Alabama (which brought Bamas score up)
I'm surprised Alabama is that high. I'm not pissed - I'm happy after translating the data. I would have thought OSU, USC, Texas would have been 1,2,3. Instead it basically shows how one man has affected two programs.

USC does schedule pretty well OOC.
they played 2 ranked teams this year, Stanford and Oregon. hard not to win there when you're favored to win 10 out of 12 games.

Mac Brown should be fired. For one reason he gets more talent than any other schools and still cannot win. I bet in that last 5 years they have had top 5 recruiting classes

Texas has $15 million more in revenue per year than Alabama. I thought the Turds said they can easily match any salary offer they make to Satan?

I'd bump UGA over Auburn for 2 reasons:
* Atlanta recruiting - Auburn recruits Atlanta heavily, but UGA still has the advantage of being home state school
* In state rival - Bama > GT

flawed opinion ranking is flawed. it includes data since 2001. This over-inflates schools like OSU & USC, while undervaluing teams like Bama & UGA.

I'd put Bama at either 3 or 4. I'd put Texas at #1, Florida at #2, and Bama/LSU are interchangable at 3 & 4.

Try favored to win 11 out of 12 and going 6-6.

Heard Les name is floating in some NFL circles, I'm sure it would take a lot for an NFL franchise to go after Les and pay him more than he is making but how do LSU fans feel would Les take an NFL gig?
Les's strength is his relationship with his players. That is not nearly as important at the NFL level. He does not have the extreme attention to detail that it seems NFL coaches require. I thnk he is better suited to the college game.

can match any reasonable offer, yes. If Texas wanted to pay Saban $6M-8M/year, then Bama would easily match it. If Texas wants to offer him $12-15M/year then Bama could match, but doubtful they would. If Texas wants to give Saban $20M/year then they can have him.
Of course Texas has a larger budget than Bama (or any other school), but most don't expect the next wave of coaching salaries to double the current level. That is why most say Bama would match any offer if it were to come, bc it would be a realistic level and an easy match.
Also, Terry Saban's mom and a couple of other relatives have moved within the past 2 years to Tuscaloosa. I think they've made roots in Bama and Saban will retire from coaching - while still Bama's HC - in 2017.

Not at all what I said, but not shocked that reading comprehension is a weakness of yours. I said that you look at the past (as they did), but also at how well a place of employment is set up for the future. Ohio State's immediate future is not as good as LSU, Bama, Texas, Fla, etc. due to factors that will make success less likely than in the past.
I pointed out you have to look at TWO factors. You, of course, only quoted one of the things I said so you could attempt to make an argument. It was weak and transparent.

Not a bad point... but there's so much talent in the state of GA, and UGAy can only take 25. AU usually gets what we want out of GA, as does UGAy.

South Carolina is 14 and not 12 on that list.

This is exactly why Nick Saban said LSU was the best place to coach college football when he was here at LSU.
Our players drafted will sky rocket over the next few years.
