Serious Question: IF Bama Wins Will they Claim the SEC Title?

Bama will essentially be 8-1 in the SEC, just like LSU. Will Bama say that they proved that they were the best team in the SEC that year if they win and get the BCS Championship? I know they won't have the actual title, but will it be the perspective of Bama fans that they have the perception title and basically claim it in the future?
I'm really wondering how Bama fans might see this. The scenario begs the question, I think.

This. Just like any other sport.
And FYI...LSU has 8 official SEC wins. The SECCG does not count towards conference standings. (Alabama and Florida both have official SEC records of 8-0 for 2009, for example)

no, but I would not be all that excited anymore about LSU winning the SEC for obvious reasons.

They won't have to. The media will do it for them. See USC 3-peat talk all throughout the 05 season.
