Which is the better job? (Miss St./Ole Miss)

For non-State/Ole Miss fans obviously:
The other thread got me thinking - which is the better head coaching job from your unbiased, outsider perspective? Use whatever criteria you wish, no matter how rational or irrational.
Even though the last 2 years have been atrocious, I still give the nod to Ole Miss.

OM but I'm basing that purely on perceptions of the schools
Neither is very good though

Ole Miss and it isn't close.

Why do you say this?
What makes the OM job so much better?

Maybe this isn't as close of a question as I thought
The State and Ole Miss fans arguing over where Hudspeth (sp?) would rather go got me thinking though. State does have an argument for winning games and going to bowls more recently - and according to their fans, their facilities are soon "improving"

Right now? Probably state. Ole Miss is a huge reconstruction job due to roster size. Seriously, I would require at least a seven year deal to attempt to rebuild what Nutt screwed up.
I would also require financial support for the program. They need to really pump some money into that program.

I used to think Ole Miss but now I think MSU.
MSU has committed money and support with the lowest SEC budget and is going to bowl games.
I've just been impressed with what MSU has done with the worst budget in the SEC. Not to mention they are making their campus much nicer than before. Starkville is nothing to write home about but neither is Oxford outside of gameday.

Ole Miss has more history going for them and I would have to imagine more money

If I were a recruit and visited both campuses, I think Ole Miss would be better. Not a knock on State, but I don't see where it is comparable.

Both are true...
However, USCe is twice the program of both State and UM yet have a much worse history than both.
MSU seems edgy at the moment and UM feels old and outdated. This matters to recruits.

This could be a toss up however what part would impress you the most?
Honestly, MSU's stadium looks nicer than Ole Miss in my opinion. I've never been a fan of that design at Ole Miss. I've visited both stadiums a few times.
The MSU campus is much nicer than when I was there in 2002'ish..

Ole Miss has the grove and the southern broads

Agreed that the "new" feel is important to recruiting, but Ole Miss, with a coach who could get support, could easily put up the money needed to get a "new" feel of their own. That is why I make the history point, because Ole Miss probably has a bigger, richer, Good Ole Boy Network of boosters that can pony up.

Historically....Ole Miss.
The last 20 years....MSU.
I'm not sure either can be termed a "good job" considering the division. Just ask Dan Mullen.

Pony up for what? State can pay whatever Ole Miss can in salary and is expanding and building new facilities. Seems most of the answers in here are a wash as neither is capable if hiring an elite coach.
