So fricking terrible. I'm 21, if I go tonight or tomorrow, I would hope it's because I'm doing something retarded. This is beyond sad.

At 19...must have been genetic.

Yeah it was posted a few places that someone said he had an uncle who passed away suddenly at a young age like that.

Not sure if that is true or not, but at that age it is either due to genetics or usually an infection or illness as an infant.

That is a nightmare, guys. Prayers for his family that they may find peace during this sad time....

Most of us down here remember the loss of Wally Pontiff, Jr...Sometimes things happen that just have no answers.

Amazing it wasn't discovered sooner, particularly with all the physical exams these players are given.

I thought they tested for that specifically.

Jeff Long said he never showed or tested positive for anything before. Sudden.

I don't know if it's necessarily genetic. One of my roommates had the same condition, but his was caused by overtraining at an early age.

Just a really sad & tragic thing. My son's best friend dropped dead warming up at baseball practice from the same thing. Great kid, great athlete, went from seemingly perfect health to gone in an instant.

Prayers sent. Such a sad way to go. Especially over something he had no control over.

This is terrible. 19 is far too young.
