Which RB stable would you rather have?

Arkansas 2007 - McFadden, Jones and Hillis

Alabama 2009 - Ingram and Richardson

I remember this question being asked on here prior to the beginning of the CFB season this year; but now since Richardson has assumed the role of "The RB" in Bama's backfield, we all see just how good he truly is. So has your assessment changed since this past offseason?

My assessment:

With Arkansas, you have three future NFL standout RB's who have a little more speed than Bama did in 2009. You also have the advantage of having 3 of them, incase one or two of them are not performing to their full potential (ala Bama 2010).

With Alabama, you have one Heisman trophy winner (possibly two if Richardson pulls it off this year); a feat that no Arkansas RB in 2007 was able to accomplish. These two are also more of a ground and pound style of RB's.

I think in the end, I would have to go with Arkansas 2007 (probably because I still can't get the trio rushing for 7329857 yards in our 2007 triple OT loss, out of my mind.

I'll admit, I'm biased, but

Not even fair because you're talking about dmac and felix as juniors and Hillis as a senior. TRich is a beast but c'mon he was 18 in 2009. An 18 year old Richardson would have been carrying the arkansas trio's pads and taking notes if he was on the 2007 arkansas squad.

It's also worth noting that on that Arkansas team was Michael Smith who rushed for over 1000 yards in 08. Not an NFL type guy but a great college running back.

Looking back, it's not even close.
2007 - Arky's back.

However, Richardson was only what, 18 back in 2009?

Arky 07 not even close. However, total offense, Bamas. If I could have Arky 07 RB's with the rest of Bama's offense that year

Wouldn't even be fair. Can you even imagine if a real coach had lucked into Mcfadden, Jones, and Hillis.

2007 Arky RB's with Bamas 2011 defense and LSU's 2011 offensive line. Throw in Tyler Wilson at QB and Arky 2011 WR's and I would shite myself. If your gonna dream, dream big.

McFadden got robbed 2 years in a row. In 2006, Troy Smith won because "you can't vote for a sophomore. No sophomore's ever won." In 2007, Tebow - a sophomore - won on the back of the most overrated stat of all time. Whipppeeeeee. He scored a billion 2 yard TD's!

McFadden in 3 years: 4590 yards, avg of 5.8 ypc, 365 yards receiving, 926 yards on KO returns.
Jones in 3 years: 2954 yards, avg of 7.6 ypc, 383 yards receiving, 1744 yards on KO returns.

Ingram in 3 years: 3261 yards, avg of 5.7 ypc, 670 yards receiving, 23 yards on KO returns.
Richardson in 3 years (pretty much): 2656 yards, avg of 5.8 ypc, 710 yards receiving, 720 yards on KO returns.

Combined Jones and McFadden = 7544 yards rushing, 748 yards receiving, 2670 KO returns.

Ingram and Richardson = 5917 yards rushing, 1380 yards receiving, 743 KO returns.

Not only do I feel that McFadden and Jones (alone - excluding Hillis) are superior, but it's not even close.

That's easy. Arky 07 no question. McFadden and jones were a complete nightmare.

Stack the box with all 11 and it wouldn't matter
