I just watched it real quick to make sure I wasn't crazy.

Carol hands her the chapter to go read. It then changes scenes to carol sitting on the staircase waiting for Zosia to finish. After about 5 seconds Carol stands up and looks up the stairway and right as she does Zosia opens the door to start walking downstairs.

There is nothing about the scene that would make one think it took an excessive amount of time for Zosia to read it. Basically she was given the chapter then Carol let her go read it by herself and waited on the stairs until she was done.

Most likely your big insurance plan is super shitty and as you've mentioned this doctor is a "Good fit" and therefore sought after so he doesn't have to be in network with plans that have worse reimbursement

This is probably for those guys in net work with every plan who have to be stretched all over because again they don't get paid much by the insurance companies and therefore need to be accessible to more patients to do bigger procedures aka float through many patient pools and be available at many hospitals in order to treat said patients.
