There are many great rivalries in sports: Yankees-Red Sox, Michigan-Ohio State, North Carolina-Duke. But they don't compare to the venomous and consuming in-state college football rivalry that is Alabama-Auburn. With no pro sports, the state of Alabama centers around one game in the year: The annual meeting between the two universities called the "Iron Bowl." And you could not script what has transpired in the state in the past two years.
On the field, each school celebrated a national title, Heisman Trophy winner and Iron Bowl win. Outside the lines, the rivalry has taken a twisted turn, with a stunning tale of poisoned trees and a historic force of mother nature that brought both sides of this split state together.
This one-hour film takes you on an unpredictable and unforgettable journey through the history of bad blood that runs between the two programs -- all told through the eyes of the school's Hall of Fame icons, the controversial figures that launched this rivalry into the national spotlight, all the way down to its passionate roots -- the fans.
I'm looking forward to the Harvey Updyke interview.

Is this show going to talk about how Cam Newton has given so much back to the tornado ravaged Alabama communities?

I like watching 30 for 30's, but this one doesn't seem all that interesting. I guess since nothing else will be on tv I should just shut my face and give it a shot.

Well, I am going into it thinking I will likely be dissappointed in it and quite possibly pissed the frick off.
However, so that I can watch it live without reading any spoilers after it has aired, I decided not to attend an "important" dinner at an exclusive resturant with a keynote speaker that has some "influential" people in my profession.
If that is not what this rivalry about (ie more important than a lot of what normal people would consider important), I do not know what is.

As have I for longer and through my parents and grandparents as well, but I am watching.
Probably just so I will have something to be pissed about.

I'm mainly watching to hear the quotes from Barkley. He isn't going to pull any punches when describing Bama fans.

this is all going to seem a little tame and silly as opposed to the horrendous story coming out of penn state.

True, but I'm glad the film isn't about that situation. Right now, a film like that that would start riots.
