So let's say Nutt and Richt both keep their jobs

What if Nutt somehow upsets AU and beats UK and La Tech to go 5-6 and Richt manages to beat Florida and win the East but lose the SECCG. Or Richt doesn't win the East but still wins 9 or 10 games.
Both coaches get to keep their jobs for next season.
What will the general opinion be of all you bulldog and rebel fans out there be? What if OM keeps Nutt another year but fires Boone?

You never know, if he made a small run at the end of the year he could spin it off to maybe get one more year. Don't put anything past HDN.
Not likely, but possible.

I've said since Summer "6-6 or GTFO".
Boone not being here next fall doesn't make me feel any better as far as us keeping Nutt. Too many outsiders are thinking the movement to remove Boone has to primarily do with us losing in football this season and last. Boone is a big picture problem that doesn't belong in a narrowed thread like this.
I'd be interested in seeing how Nutt did a better OLine and S&C coach next season. If we go 5-6 and upgrade those two positions, I'd be indifferent with keeping Nutt. I'd be interested in seeing what we could do but I wouldn't lose any sleep over having to replace him.

Ole Miss is stuck with Nutt

nutt is gone. as for richt, you can't fire the guy is he wins the East and beats UF but all it is doing is delaying the inevitable because as much as we will all say he is off the hot seat if he has trouble next year then it all starts over again

True… thing is ya'll have looked better as the season progressed so if he finished strong he might earn one more year to prove himself with the young talent ya'll have. I fully understand the frustrations ya'll have with Nutt but to keep firing coaches will never produce stability in the program.
The thing to do might be like AU did with Tubs.. tell him to change assistants or GTFO.
IMO 2012 should be his make or break year with the talent there, if he doesn't produce a winning season then he should be gone. With a new coach after this year, it may ruin the possibility of a good year in 2012 because of players adjusting to a new system.

Agreed on all of this.

I think Ole Miss can beat aubie, but it's not going to(shouldn't)save his job. Ole Miss fans should riot, if they keep him.

If Georgia fires Richt, they are crazy as hell. When you look back at his record, he's had a great ride in Athens.

Ouch.

That is a rough schedule, 7 hard games plus MSU which is always a toss up. Auburn will be stout next year too. Damn I'm not sure is Saban would win more than 4 games at OM next year.

If Ole Miss fires Nutt before Boone, they are the dumbest school in the country. You just can't do it in that order. No quality coach in the country is going to want to take a job where they don't know who their boss is going to be.
And then, when Boone gets fired next year, its going to be a big negative for potential AD's that a new football coach was just hired. Football is the most important sport and AD's want their guy in there.
You have to fire the AD first. And you have to have a new one in place before you are ready to start a coaching search. Basically, OM needs to fire Boone yesterday, and find a replacement very soon if they want to get rid of Nutt this year.
All that said, I hope Ole Miss does FUBAR this situation, and does everything in reverse order. Will set the program back another 4 years.

If Richt wins 9 but beats GT I'd be willing to let him stay another year.
If he loses less than 9= gone
If he loses to GT/Florida= gone
