IMO he is doing a great job with a team that is young, little depth, tons of key injuries and etc. If B'day and Hunter were healthy, tenn would be dangerous!

The corners would still blow.

UT has a long road back, they were thin on talent when they hired Kiff and then when Kiff left it caused even more problems with depth. UT has a very long hard road ahead plus the NCAA sanctions it is just going to take a while.

I don't think many want Dooley gone right now or think he's doing a horrible job. Most of the people that don't like him just don't have confidence that he can actually be a winner in the SEC.

I agree, Dooley should make Tennessee one of the better teams in the East in no time.

He certainly deserves credit for getting the defense up for games. Unfortunately, it usually falls apart around half time when depth kills us, but they've done well hanging tough early on in games.

I will never understand the love Dooley gets. If he didn't have the standard "coach look" and come from a footba family, he'd just be a regular non-spectacular coach.

Remember UT self imposing sanctions for Kiff and his antics? Limited recruitment by staff and the like. Also UT had a thin roster of talent when Kiff came to town and Kiff screwed up recruiting a lot when he left and the fact UT didn't have a solid option to replace him at the time. UT is 2 years away from being a strong team and it has already been 2 years in the rebuilding process.

LSU fans love him because he complimented LSU last week and fields poorly prepared teams against LSU.

Fans = Fanatics Tennessee is a program rich in history, they are one of 5 SEC teams with a BCS crystal ball (they were the first SEC team and first NCAA team to win a BCSC). Its unusual for them to be the underdog so many years, then throw in the Kiffen experiment. Fans want results yesterday. Its ok if they are frustrated, Dooley is safe and two more years and nare a one will say they every thought anything bad about coach Dooley.

Kiffen fricked them... Dooley is doing fine, he needs some time to build.

IMHO next year, AT Tennessee is going to be one of the hardest games we have all year. not looking forward to that one at all. Actually I am because i have never been to that stadium, but you get the point.

Dooley is a very good coach and I wish him well. He seems to be good guy and an intense, smart coach.
