Well, that was a damn good pass he just threw. Maybe back into 7th round consideration.
re: Why are the Pels playing 3 games against the Bulls this year?

In-season tournament shite.
Every team has to play 6 Tournament games. 4 games in group play and then 2 additional games. Teams that make the quarterfinals play in that game. Teams that don't will play 2 games vs other eliminated teams. Teams that lose the quarterfinals will play 1 game vs eliminated teams. Teams that make the semifinals will play no additional games. Teams that make the NBA Cup play an extra game.
Same reason we have 3 home games vs the Blazers this year.

wonder what league he will play in next year.
He made 2.5M this year, so if he was smart he is set for life... but I doubt he is smart.

Not only is Trevon not even close to Top 3.
He was one of the worst CBs in history this season.
In 8 games, he gave up a passer rating of 158.3 on passes targeting him.
He gave up a damn perfect passer rating in half a season. And with his terrible tackling, he was essentially worse at covering guys than air.

They also have the longest bowl win streak in the nation with 9 bowl wins in a row going back to 2015.
Also, not only did they win 3 Nattys in a row from 1934-1936
They also won the 2 titles before the US joined WW2 and then their head coach and a few of their players joined the war effort. Minnesota would lose their 18 game winning streak to Iowa Pre-Flight...a military academy made up of all-americans from the area including 2 of Minnesota's best players from their title teams. Who knows if Minnesota could've 3-peated again if Pearl Harbor was one year later...

Finishing 2nd in the division has us playing:
Dallas
San Francisco
Chargers
Finishing 3rd in the division would have us playing:
Washington
Rams
Kansas City
Finishing 4th in the division would have us playing:
Giants
Arizona
Las Vegas
Finishing 4th would definitely be the easiest schedule next year.

If Tampa loses on Saturday, then a win would make us 2nd in the division while a loss would make us 4th. A tampa win and a NO win would make us 3rd.
The difference between playing.

Finishing 4th in the division would have us playing:

Finishing 4th not only gives us the 8th pick in the draft, it also gives us 3 pretty easy wins next year. As much as it would pain me to lose to Atlanta, that is some good incentive to lose.

quote:
How are they 12-4?
#4 passing offense
#8 scoring offense
#1 3rd down offense
#2 redzone offense
#1 offensive drives leading to points
So they are incredibly efficient on offense so that helps.

I feel like holding is completely made up lately too.
I see the most blatant grab and pulls not called and then the next play a slight grab that doesn't even affect the play is called.

Despite LSU's worst 5 year stretch in the past 26 years, LSU has a better record than Minnesota against a much tougher schedule.
Where is the excuse? LSU fans were pissed at the level of play and fired 2 coaches in this span.

Only 2 NFL teams have never been to the playoffs in 3 straight seasons: Jets and Cardinals

Cardinals...one of the oldest teams in the NFL. Crazy they have never been three straight years. The Panthers have 3 straight playoffs but have never had back to back winning seasons. The Jaguars made the playoffs in 4 of their first 5 seasons of existance.

3 things happened after the 2005 season that killed the appeal of MNF.
1. Moving from ABC to ESPN. Say what you want but primetime on a major network was way better than primetime on ESPN for national appeal.
2. NFL deciding that SNF should be the marquee game instead of MNF.
3. Replacing Al Michaels and John Madden with Tony Kornheiser, Mike Tirico, and Joe Theismann.
Yes, Madden was only on MNF for 4 seasons, but it was must watch TV all four seasons unlike Dennis Miller and Dan Fouts of the late 90s and Mike Tirico and Tony Kornheiser of the late 2000s.
I and many many others were paying way more attention to the SNF game with Michaels and Madden over the MNF game.
In 2003, ESPN averaged 6.4M while MNF averaged 16.8 M.
In 2004, SNF averaged 6.8M while MNF averaged 16.4 Million.
In 2005, Sunday Night Football averaged 9.25 Million viewers, MNF averaged 16.4 Million.
In 2006, Sunday Night Football averaged 17 million viewers each week. The highest watched MNF game in 2006 was 16M for Giants/Cowboys and 15M for Saints/Falcons. Sunday Night Football had 4 games with over 20M viewers while MNF had 5 games with less than 10M viewers.
In 2007, SNF averaged 17.5 Million viewers. MNF averaged 12.3 M viewers.
In 2008, SNF averaged 16.8 M viewers. MNF averaged 12 M viewers.
In 2009, SNF averaged 19.4 Million viewers, MNF averaged 14.4 M viewers.
Madden was just 1 part of the 3 things, not the focus of the post.

believe it or not the 2012 Saints D was 12th in Turnovers Forced and 14th in Interceptions having recovered 11 fumbles and picking off 15 passes.
The 2012 Saints D had 4 Pick 6's and 9 players with an INT and 7 defensive players with a fumble recovery.
That worst defense of all-time also pitched a 41-0 shutout of the Bucs where Josh Freeman turned the ball over 5 times by himself.
So in one game the 2012 Saints had forced more turnovers than the 2025 Jets have in 16 games.

Other fun NFL defense stats:
The 49ers have 18 sacks despite facing the 6th most pass attempts in the NFL. Myles Garrett alone has more sacks than the 49ers. 33 QBs have been sacked at least 18 times this season. Mac Jones was sacked 16 times in 8 games for the 49ers.
Dolphins are allowing 71.8% completion percentage...which would be the most in the NFL this season for any QB, 6th best mark all-time by any QB, and 3rd best mark by a non-Drew Brees.
Cowboys have allowed 4291 yards this season. Only Dak Prescott has thrown for more yards than the Cowboys have allowed.
Only Matthew Stafford has more TD passes than the Bengals and Cowboys have allowed this season.
Only Drake Maye and Matthew Stafford have a higher QB rating than the 109.7 allowed by the Cowboys and 108.6 allowed by the Jets.
The NFL record for most TD passes in a season without an Interception is Steve Young who threw 10 TDs without a pick as Montana's backup in 1987. The Jets have allowed 32 TDs without an interception this year.

The Jets have allowed 32 passing TDs without a single pick in 16 games.
With just one game left, the Jets have only Josh Allen between them and NFL history.
The QBs the Jets have faced in their 16 games so far have thrown 143 INTs on the year so it isn't like they are facing guys who don't turn it over.
The record for least interceptions by a team in a season is 2 set by the 49ers in 2018. That 9ers team also has the record for fewest takeaways at 7.
The Jets are close to breaking both the 9ers marks as they have recovered just 4 opponents fumbles this year.
They need to turn the Bills over 3 times this weekend to avoid these records.
