a lot of good kickers fall off really really fast.

2024 stats:

Grupe

27/31 FGs (87.1%) 13th
4/4 <30
10/11 30-39
7/8 40-49
6/7 >50 (only miss from over 50 was a blocked 60 yard try)
long of 57
31/33 XP (93.9%) 20th

Tucker

22/30 FGs (73.3%) 30th
4/4 <30
7/7 30-39
5/8 40-49
6/11 >50
long of 56
60/62 XP (96.8%) 12th

Grupe isn't a great kicker but he doesn't have any off-field issues and is more reliable from over 40

Really was an absolutely pathetic game by him
The one that gets posted almost every time this comes up but:

Larry Fitzgerald has more career tackles than dropped passes

The man has 27 career playoff games with more Turnovers than made FGs (Jordan had 0, Kobe had 4, Curry has 7, Westbrick has 14)

Last 4 elimination games:
2025: 7 pts on 2/8 FG, 1/4 3PT, 2/2 FT vs the Nuggets
2024: 16 pts on 5/16 FG, 0/6 3PT, 6/7 FT vs the Mavericks
2023: 9 pts on 3/11 FG, 1/5 3PT, 2/2 FT vs the Celtics
2022: 11 pts on 4/9 FG, 3/7 3PT vs the Heat

George Gervin and Steve Nash were both notoriously bad at defense but I don't think either were anywhere near as big of stars as Luka
It's hard to play defense when you don't even play a center
Humans are very fragile. Yes we can sometimes luckily survive falling out of airplanes or getting shot in the head but we are just as likely to die falling off a 6 ft ladder or bleeding from a badly broken leg.

quality of teams, meaningfulness of the game, multiple lead changes, and either team can win at the end

comebacks are fine and all, but a game that is competitive throughout is a much better game, imo.

isn't Steph Curry the GM of Davidson? If a current player can do it, I can't imagine it being a demanding job
I also stayed all the way until the end just because of the sheer absurdity of it. Like we sucked in the first half, but that second half was like a master class in ineptitude.

I wonder if that is the only game in CP3s career having more turnovers than points?

ETA: It is not, Paul has 2 games this year with no points and 3 turnovers and 2 more games with more turnovers than points. He also did it twice last year and twice in 2022. Not going back anymore.

I don't care if we took a QB at 9 this year. If there is a guy available at your pick that you think is better than your guy, then you take him.

You can always trade away the guy you got last year.
awful news for Milwaukee's future but some good news for Dame's dollar

Dame is getting paid $54M next year even if he doesn't play and has a player option for $58M the year after.
Could you imagine your 3rd string qb acting like that?

Browns are such a joke they actually make us look competent
Gilbert Arenas is the most notable NBA example. Dude was a lottery pick that refused to do drills and bailed on a workout to go to a party and fell from top 15 to 2nd round.

Bol Bol was also projected pretty highly at some points but went late 2nd
You can put up with this attitude from a freak athlete DB, you cannot put up with this from a short QB without a super strong arm and not much top end speed.
Deion didn't. The kid's attitude did...which I guess Deion probably coddled, but damn.

Apparently many teams took him completely off their boards after their interviews. One NFL exec said he was the worst interview ever. There is a reason he is sliding and it has more to do with him than his pops.
