My family is going down to Oxford this weekend for the game(not me included).
Details:
-They are not staying the night
-Dad and brother are going to the game
-Mom is not. She just wants to shop while they are at the game.
Any help on what my mom might be able to do? Where should my mom should my drop my Dad and little brother at for the game? Where should she go to shop while the game is going?
Any post game restaurants anyone recommends?

If you're in Oxford, Alabama...I would recommend Club AJ's
I think Magilla works the door.

Get off Hwy 6 at the Old Taylor exit. Have your mom drop you and your pops off on the corner across from the Ford Center. From there, you turn left and walk about 200 yards to the Grove. Your mom can turn right and drive/walk to the Square to shop. Early kickoff

Get the hell outta town. Any restaurant is gonna have a minimum of a 2 hour wait

Yep
There are some excellent eats in Oxford but following a game isn't the time to try and sample them

My advice would tell the mom to drop em off an hour of so before the game. Drive to Memphis, shop. Drive back and pick them up.

I personally enjoy "The Blind Pig" on the square. You really can't go wrong on the Square, but I love a few of the underground bars.

It looks like you could pick up a chick like Holly Rowe in there.

They live in Memphis.
Then why do they want to eat in Oxford?
Posted on 10/20/11 at 9:30 pm to mmjones87
Because they eat in memphis everyday and want a taste of Oxford
