Most Memorable Alabama-Tennessee Game

Which game do you remember most? For me it was the 1999 game. Both teams were ranked in the top 10 and I felt like Bama had a good chance to knock off the defending National Champs. Tennessee played one of their best games of the year and shut down Bama's offense 21-7. It still makes me sick hearing Rocky Top being played late in the 4th when Tennessee had the game won.
I also haven't forgot the 2003 game (4OT's). I honestly thought Alabama had the game won 3 different times. Makes me sick thinking about it.
The 2002 game was also a good one because the Tide spanked UT 34-14 for their first win since 1994

2009 and don't remember the year (93 I think) but when Palmer tied the game with a 2 point conversion. Wish overtime was around then

Practically none of them really.
The only two that stand out are mount fatass blocking the fg with his armpit and a game back in the 90's when david palmer scored late in the game for a bama win.
Those are seriously the only two games I can even recall.

I have this game on DVD. ha. I bought the 2003 Ole Miss/Bama game from some guy and he ended up sending me the 03 Tennessee game with the Ole Miss game. That was a good game.

1993, David Palmer around end for the 2 point conversion to give bama the tie
2005, Roman Harper causes fumble, brodie hits DJ hall on a bomb, Bama wins 9-6
2009, Cody with the 2 blocks

41-14 game in the 90's, 2008, 2009, 2010, and the game that wouldn't end.
I'm still mad that I had to take the ACT in 2005 so I could go to the game in BDS.

Admittedly, I laughed a little.

I remember the 4OT game because it was my damn birthday and I was waiting around for the damn game to end so I could go out for my birthday dinner. Also 2002. 2009. 1993(?) When Palmer tied it up at the end. 1999 was frustrating as hell. 2005 was an annoying game even though we won.

2003 was the worst. Wasn't that the same year we went to like 3 OTs with Arkansas after blowing a 17 point lead in the 4th? That season would not end, took years off my life
I remember 1999, was at that game too. If Shaun hadn't gotten hurt I think we would have won. He and Zow both had gimp ankles and Shaun dropped a pass across the middle that pretty much sealed our loss. Probably ended up costing him a shot at the Heisman too b/c he was out for a couple weeks after
Those are 2 of my least favorite ones
Speaking of Bad ones... how about Every game against Peyton Manning, particularly the one he destroyed us in at Legion Field when he led the band in Rocky Top
Or they year we ALMOST beat Peyton, but that fat frick Freddie Kitchens through a 90+ yard pick 6 late in the 4th when we were driving for the win

Yep. Rocky Stop in 05 was sweet.

Eta- 1990
Philip Doyle kicked his third field goal of the game, a 48-yarder as time expired, to lift Alabama to a 9-6 victory over Tennessee today in a Southeastern Conference defensive struggle.
Doyle's kick was set up when Stacy Harrison blocked a 50-yard field-goal attempt by Tennessee's Greg Burke with 1 minute 35 seconds to play. Burke, whose 51-yarder tied it with 10 minutes to play, saw his potential game-winner carom off Harrison's chest and bounce downfield.
Alabama took over at the Tennessee 37 and gained 7 yards in three plays before allowing the clock to run down to 4 seconds.
Doyle had field goals of 30 and 26 yards while Burke had a 20-yarder in the first quarter before his career-best 51-yarder five minutes into the final period.
Tennessee fell to 4-1-2 over all, 2-1-1 in the conference. Alabama (3-3, 2-2) has handed Tennessee its only three losses in the last 25 games.
The dominant force in the game was the Alabama defense, which for the second straight year distrupted Tennessee so badly the Vols changed quarterbacks in midstream.
Sterling Henton, who lost his job to Andy Kelly in the Alabama game last year, took over for an ineffective Kelly early in the third quarter.
Alabama held Tennessee, the S.E.C.'s leading offensive team, to just 71 yards and three first downs in the first half.

I thought Croyle hit Matt Miller to get UA in field goal range. Am I thinking of the Cotton Bowl that year?

I was remembering it as DJ Hall... but I could easily be wrong about that part

Ugh, I remember that game. We had a much better team than Bama that year, but we always nutted up when playing them.
Bama blocked the FG and the damn ball went 20 yards the other way.
1995 Manning to Kent for a TD on play #1 at Bama.
I remember Siran fricking Stacy running wild on us in the late 80's? We would hurt Bama's starter and the backup would bend us over.
A lot of great games and tradition here.
Too bad this Saturday won't be added, but by God, we'll get you next year, or the next, or the next, or whenever Saban retires.

Bama 56 Tn 28
I lived among the viles and had endured 4 straight losses
I got in more fights in a 3-4 day span ragging on UT fans than ever before or since. I was 18 and just did not give a frick who I pissed off
