Guys *ubarn escaped this for the simple fact that they are irrelevant. They will not have another scam newton come along in the next 20 yrs. All the planets and moon aligned themselves just right for them to win it all last yr. Maybe the ncaa felt bad that they got hosed in 04 especially since USC was cheating that yr as well and they wanted to make it up to them by letting them keep their tainted title. Personally I could careless what happens to those cheating barntards. The best thing for us would be win a title this yr to shut those boogs up. Looks like we have a very good shot at that....ROLLTIDE ROLL

quote:

Personally, I think the NCAA just wanted to toss this aside after all of the Sheridan stuff.

quote:

Good job NCAA!!! You have the most blantant and most public example of cheating in memory...that outraged fans all across the country and ruined a college football season...and nothing happens. You had a chance to maybe get the public back on your side and you do this.

quote:

Business as usual for *U and the boys in Indy......don't forget UcheaT escaping the LOIC and FTM recently for football when everyone knew they sent those "hostesses" on the road to "recruit" players.

quote:

Thanks to *ubarn, our conference is now the laughing stock of college football by listening to what outsiders have to say about the NCAA letting the barn off the hook.

This is selective enforcement at its finest...

Obviously THEY DID FIND SOMETHING, but not meeting the burden of proof angle was enough to drop it all together. By that same logic, Alabama was hammered into oblivion over the Albert Means allegations. THERE WAS NO PROOF (even the FBI couldn't link a money trail) and the two coaches allegedly involved sued for their innocence and won the case, but that didn't stop the NCAA from throwing the book at us.

The NCAA's inept investigators screwed up the Lyles investigation and the NCAA had to rely on Yahoo to do the investigation for them. Now they've screwed up the *ubarn investigation and are hoping Yahoo will put the pieces of the puzzle together for them. This is simply put: ridiculous!

With *ubarn skating ONCE AGAIN, they're about to revolutionize college football as we know it.

quote:

It must be nice being a fan of such a lucky, corrupt institution knowing full well that you can cheat with impunity both on AND off the field with no consequences.

The NCAA just punched the ticket for everyone else to cheat.

*U has the blueprint.

I'm sure those interviewed included McGregor, Lauder or more accurately their lawyers no comments, But their day in Federal court will come. I have not given up hope that some prosecutor somewhere will find a rat to bail and save his own skin and in doing so tells all.

quote:

Bama13 you said just what I wanted too. Plus, either the barn paid off the investigators or the nzaa couldn't help but stick it to BAMA by letting their rival skate with such blatant cheating?

quote:

Regarding the HBO FOUR: We all KNOW that the FAMILY convinced them to not cooperate with the NCAA. They were paid off to not talk, plain and simple. There is absolutely NO WAY that the NCAA conducted a thorough investigation over 13 months and found NOTHING. I call bs on that big time. The degree of cheating and corruption that is allowed down on the farm is disturbing. There MUST be an organized crime connection or something to keep them out of trouble.

Well, 120 + years of blatant cheating and they only have two TAINTED TITLES to show for it!

**Looking at comments on ESPN.com, the rest of the country is calling bs on this too and bashing the SEC with claims of preferential treatment by the NCAA. They need to remember what the NCAA did to Bama with those claims! Most fans outside of Lee County, AL feel that *U cheated, the 2010 title is tainted and *U is a dirty program.

Let's beat 'em on the field and let the NCAA crap go. It's apparently all over for now.

quote:

Do you guys see a mysterious pattern of escape here?

Terry Bowden blows the lid off their PFP scheme, naming names, etc., yet nothing ever came from it.

It was proven players were receiving free Sociology class credits so they could remain eligible, yet nothing ever came of it.

Four former players ADMITTED to being paid (see ever disgruntled former player that's turned their alma mater in), yet nothing came of it.

$cam's father never denied accepting money or soliciting money from *ubarn, yet nothing ever came from this investigation either.

If it wasn't for Eric Ramsey's tapes, then *ubarn would've likely skated on the Ramsey scandal as well.

This is totally ridiculous. These people corrected everything they did wrong in the past and have now mastered the art of cheating and skating.

quote:

I don't think there is much doubt that the cheating and the filth at the barn is there regardless of what the NCAA says. The big question in my mind is will the media continue to pursue this story. It seems that there are those in the media who have a lot invested in this scandal and I hope they do not drop there pursuit of the truth. How long did it take the media to get to the truth with Southern Cal?

quote:

My point is now proven. The NCAA was paid off yet again to look the other way. Amazing how those cheaters keep getting away with this. Oh well. Bama will just beat them into oblivion next month. RTR!

So lets call a spade a spade. I was wrong to assume the myriad of inconsistencies would lead to the asterisk season so many thought was a foregone conclusion. I was also wrong to doubt the Alabama Media, because obviously their lack of reporting on the situation surrounding Cam Newton was accurately assessed in determining there was no story. Case Closed. The Bunker 1, Tuna 0. I concede. To that, I wanted to make the gloating and "I told you so's" being spread all across Lee County in my general direction a most rewarding and fulfilling event. To make amends, I offer one of my favorite recipes for seared Tuna - I hope it meets with your pallets, and War Damn Eagle. Enjoy.

Tuna, just get over it, you never had any proof, just rumor, lies and innuendo... You took nothing and tried to make something.. take your charts, etc... the NCAA spent a lot of time, they looked at IRS records, bank records, they interviewed people.. .this was not the conspiracy you tried to make it and I quote:

"Unless you are going to tell me this Men's Clothing store is largely responsible for nearly destroying the enire Free Market Banking System, it is a non-starter. Unless you are going to tell me the head tailor in the shop has been secretly laundering $Millions thru a sophisticated system of Non-Profit Organizations, it is a non-starter. Unless you are going to tell me the shop owner his the head of a huge organized crime syndicate that has systematically gained control of Local and State Governments, it's a non-starter.

Priceless, fricking priceless.

I guess the national media had to make up for the local media's lack of reporting.
