He gets as much respect as I can give a player on another team. Dude has no OL and knows he's gonna get rocked but always stands in there and makes plays.
Yeah, our young OL is getting rocked right now. Gotta get them to gel. Got that talent, just young.

Get used to seeing alot more of what you saw today starting next year. Pretty sure we filed a patent on choking horribly. It is the Aggie way, and has been for decades.

Well, I lost the last 4 minutes of the game. Guess we won.

Tyler Wilson is a beast.
Tyler did have a good game. I'm just glad he didn't throw any picks toward the end. Tyler, DJ, Wright, and Green really came through in the clutch.

There were a TON of haters talking shite in this thread early in the game when Arkansas was down. Where the frick are you now!?
It's possible that you could be lumping me in with the "hater" crowd; however, I was doing nothing more than calling what I saw happening on the field.
I'm happy that we won, but we can't win that way against half of the remaining opponents on our schedule. If we are going to have a good season, we MUST create holes for our running game, give TW more time to make plays, and clean up the lack of fundamentals that we have on defense. I don't see how one could argue with that (just speaking in general terms).
Personally, I believe that we can do all of the above. But... Considering how young our line is, I am not going to expect it. They are going to make mistakes and show their youth all season long. I'm glad we have a QB that is as tough as Tyler is. That motherfricker didn't bitch or moan all day long. He made lemonade and did the best he could with what he have, which was quite impressive to say the least.
I'm also guilty of giving Wingo the benefit of the doubt in the past, but quite frankly, I'm tired of it. Sure, he has his moments, but he just isnt a pure RB. His pass blocking seems serviceable, but I think he would make a better receiver. IMO, that's the role he should stick with - catching out of the backfield, that is.
Johnson, on the other hand, showed a lot of guts and willingness to make contact. He's got "the fire". I hope to see a lot more of him as the season progresses.
Green looked good as well, but I think he is only good in straight-ahead runs. His lateral movement is pretty much nonexistent. To me, he seems like a great 4th quarter back: he's big, strong, moves straight ahead, and is going to pick up yards against tired defenses no matter what.
As for our D... When they looked good, they looked pretty fricking good. But when they looked bad, it was beyond atrocious. I can appreciate Willie's adjustments at the half, but even so, they still looked lost at times. Fortunately, I think that all of their problems can be corrected.

Tyler hung in there like a pro. He was getting the shite kicked out of him in the 1st half.

Here is a shot late in the game of another big hog fan. I was cheering all the way for them (lived in Fayetteville 2007 through 2010), but seriously, find a shirt that fits.. Way to introduce the aggies to the SEC!!
