Floyd eligibility issue
The NCAA is ridiculous. You have a good kid, never done anything wrong in his life, grew up in complete poverty, who has now already missed a game when this is a nothing issue. I mean seriously, the NCAA is investigating a friggen bake sale? WTF?
When on the other hand, Cam was cleared in ONE FRICKEN DAY and didn't miss a single game...
How the hell is that fair, when that was over the matter of 180k and this is a friggen bake sale?
Ugh. Thus endeth my rant.

People will call you butthurt but it's actually a pretty legitimate point.
The NCAA lacks any consistency in their investigations and punishments. Nobody with any resemblance of intelligence could deny this.

I got to ask...
Was them some weed brownies that they were selling?
Seems like there must be more to the story,

LSU feels your pain. Russell Shepard is suspended indefinitely for apparently alerting Craig Loston to the fact that the NCAA wanted to talk to Loston re: the Willie Lyles thing.
Meanwhile, several Miami players known to have accepted whores, cash, dinners, and God knows what else from the Ponzi scheme guy only got one game each.

They can call me mad. I am mad.
I don't care about Cam Newton though, that was just used to illustrate the absurdity of investigating a bake sale.

Floyd is not a tv ratings player. That is what steers the ncaa now.

I really have no clue how the NCAA works, but wasn't the Newton scenario one where Auburn had lined up all the facts as far as the situation, had the information sent to the NCAA, at that point they declared them ineligible and asked for reinstatement?
Are they doing an investigation in the Floyd case to actually get the information they need? Clearing and infractions are different offices, and being cleared is a much shorter process than infraction investigations (i am pretty sure).
I think it just comes down to that Newton's situation was one where Auburn had time to prepare for it, Floyd's seems to be one that popped up as a surprise.
In the end, it is shitty that Floyd has to sit. Let the guy play.

What BS. We really need him this week too. The guy needs a warm up game so he can be prepared to break Captain Throat Slasher in half.

It doesn't matter if he was cleared over the course of a week long investigation. Fact of the matter is that Auburn chose to QUIETLY report Cam was ineligible one day, and the very next he's suddenly cleared.

and yet some douche over on the expansion board was serious with his idea of the NCAA being over all of conference alignments.

Yes, it does matter. It matters a lot. And the investigation wasn't "week long"... it was "weeks" long.
And, if all the details are covered and arranged during that long run-up then the "did it in a day" meme is a total and utter falsehood. So, yes, it DOES matter.
