After getting so many breaks last season, I thought Auburn had used all of them up. How many on-side kicks bounce that high in the air--maybe 1 out of 100?

Every LSU fan should remember the last onsides kick they saw executed that well.

Me too. But it's because I had to come in to work tonight. Picked up 3-11 shift for my LSU buddy so he could watch the game.

honestly, most teams that win the bcs get a few funky, lucky breaks (alabama vs tenn in '09).

Most of them do, actually. The days of the onside kicks where you roll it and hope for the hop are gone, for the most part. Now the kickers drive the ball into the ground and force the big hop. But that one did seem to hang forever.

That was the greatest onside kick I have ever seen.

Without it, the game is over. Great execution though, but USU should have wrapped it up. Biggest worry for Auburn, a mid level, mid major whipped the offensive and defensive lines.

OP you are correct. The Aggies had that game won, broh.

As much as I hate Auburn, and as much as I really do believe the "all in" concept as far as some of y'alls people/alums doing WHATEVER it takes to win, I definitely saw many marks of a very well coached team in y'alls game today. You have to be lucky to win an NC. But by the same token, you've got to play every second of every game believing you can win. Y'all get a ton of credit for not folding the tents. Good job.

There is no doubt USU was dominating the trenches, but I appreciate the objective comments. Not a great win, but an important one for a young team.

I'm gonna keep bumping this post until somebody cuts the head of the beast.

Seriously though, Auburn is playing with a lot of 18 year old kids. State is probably a little overrated, but it's still a good win for Aubie.

One other thing. I've never been really high on Dyer, but he looked legit to me. He appears to have another gear this year. Dave Rowe/Neal/Baker (whoever the hell is up there now) actually made a good point that McCalleb is usually the sweep guy. Dyer peaced out on that first TD though.

Dyer is definitely proving he's still good without Newton. As long as the OL plays like they did yesterday and doesn't go back to what they were doing against USU, Dyer will get his yards and TDs

No matter who you pull for you have to tip your hat (in my case a Bama hat..ha) to them.. I listened on the radio cause I was traveling.. It sounded hella exciting.. Had a friend there and he was biting his nails bad...

&
To Chiz and crew.. 2-0 Baby!!

ps. I am sure glad Bama don't have that Oct. schedule..

I just never thought I'd see an Auburn team 2-0 in 11:00 games.

Well, we got another one @ Clemson next week... I'm tired of dealing with dual threat QBs.

I'm starting to like early games. I have the whole day to relax win or lose.

This early in the season it is just way too hot. I about died once the game was over from heat exhaustion. Plus, I need more tailgating time.
