Mizzou is just a tad farther North than Lexington, not much of a stretch.

your opinion on this whole matter is completely dumb as shite. you have no credibility WHAAAAA??? The longhorn delusion/arrogance is second to none. but, but, we're texas we can do what we want

Credibility? Delusion? Arrogance? That was just a theory that the only way the Big 12 could be saved for the longterm was for Beebe to do something bold and to be the first conference to go to 16 by bringing in a cluster of teams from a tight geographic region, following in the model of how Larry Scott, who I have a lot of respect for, came very close to creating the Pac 16.

Mizzou, UNC, OU would be the schools at the top of my wish list when the conference expands (we all know A&M will be in.)

Mizzou's one of my teams, dad's alma mater. It's going to cloud my college football fanhood even more if they sign on.

Big 12 does not have a leg to stand on.

Why would any University (other than UH, RIce etc - Which dillutes the TV money per school) want to jump into a conference and deal with Texas influence/money/politics on a daily basis.

If Baylor was smart, they would lobby for the Big East if the shite hit fan. Would have a natural rival with TCU. Football could compete on a more regular basis.

Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech?

I am betting its not going to be Georgia Tech. They ran off to the ACC after being slaughtered in the SEC. They cant be that dumb.

I would rather it be Mizzou, or North Carolina. Va Tech is a pain in the arse to get to. It snows. Its at altitude. No. Please, no.

No Mizzou please. Let them fade into the obscurity of the Mountain West. That would leave us with no competition getting the best athletes from that state.

I dont understand why we would want to mess with the best conference in the nation that is currently dominating.

Exactly. I'm not sure losing 7 games a year is the right way to deal with being Texas' little brother.

Aggie is convinced they will take all the 4*s and 5*s from Texas and steamroll the SEC.

No they aren't, they are probably a little overly-optimistic about where they'd fit in a new league, but who wouldn't be.

If they are convinced of anything it seems to be that dealing with Texas + Espn doing whatever the hell they think is good for Texas/LHN at the expense of the entire conference is making an already bad situation worse, and it's time to get the hell out while they have options.

and lol at the blog, if anyone actually takes you seriously all they need to do to realize just how incredibly misinformed you are is load that link up and read a few paragraphs.

Who would you want to be first in establishing a Super Conference? The SEC, Pac-12 or Big-12?
