Not to mention the AD doing the hiring will probably be looking for a new job within a year.

I have a camp on pilings and we used a Laser level and marked every pile with a base elevation, then found the highest, and lifted the rest to that height. We shimmed with treated wood.
This is exactly what you want to do. Cut the shims so the grain is running horizontal, not vertical, and shim the entire top of the block, not just 1 or 2 shims.

Not at all. Unique situation with the timing of NIL and recruiting this season, which I bet will get resolved in the next year.
I still hope he comes, and if he doesn’t, I personally don’t blame him as a man. Everyone has their own battles, and LSU will survive without him if not.

3 posts in a row blaming “the media”, whose job it is to report the news. Just pointing out that it’s the LSU dolts screwing this up for the third time in a row, and idiots on here blaming the media.

Media just reporting the news. Someone in the LSU circle clearly leaked that, so frick them. LSU admin cant help themselves, like a bunch of 13 year old girls on TikTok about kissing and outfits and shite.

Make sure to drain your irrigation pump if expecting a hard freeze, that’s about it for irrigation.
re: 1/2 ton truck vs 3/4 ton
Posted by halleburton on 10/17/25 at 10:57 pm to tgerb8
Had many F150/250s and several Chevy 1500s. Yes the 1500s ride better, but turning/parking I never noticed a difference in the trucks. I tow boats and skid steers, while a 1500 can certainly manage it, a 2500 suits my needs perfectly. I also don’t notice the difference between my 3/4 and the wife’s 1/2 ton on the road. Off-road probably a different story.

I've shot many deer with a .308 and it keaves an exit wound you can almost stick ur fist in and blows out massive amounts of blood and tissue.
A human neck would almost be torn in half. The wound we see wasn't an exit wound and if it was the entry wound that banner behind CK would be covered.
It would be very noticeable.
The reason it does that, is because you're hitting bone, which causes the bullet to fragment and spall (as well as shards of bone) as it passes through soft tissue going through the animal. I, along with tons of people on here presumably, have shot many deer, and there isn't always a large exit hole, no matter the caliber.
I've also shot probably a dozen deer in the neck, and sometimes the exit is small, sometimes large, but they always drop immediately.
re: Do you think the shooter was aiming at the neck?

No modern rifle drops 6-8” in 200 yds. Most are within 2” out to 250 depending on zero. Most likely just a poor shot by shooter.

Drill through cooler and lid, then use SS machine screws with a nut/fender washer.
re: How much lower do housing prices need to go before people actually start buying?
Posted by halleburton on 9/8/25 at 3:29 pm to elprez00
I have no clue, but a house is a product just like anything else, and in your example is only marginally higher priced than the target inflation rate over that time period.
How many entry level workers were buying $145k houses in 2007?

Downvote this all you want. But it doesn’t make it any less true.
I bought my first home in 2007 for $145,000. Three beds, 2 baths, 1/2 car garage. That same house today would be $250-275k.
3% interest over 18 years brings that value to about $246k today...
