Why is Bama getting so much love In Rankings

I understand they have great players in line to fill the starting spots but they lost a lot on the skill side on offense.
Julio, Ingram, and G Mac will be tough to replace.
The D will be solid like always with Saban. The experience on Offense is going to have some rough patches during the season. Trent has the potential to be good but make him produce before he is proclaimed the best in the SEC.
Just don't get it

I wouldn't put many teams in front of them, regardless of the struggles they're gonna have in the passing game IMO. Their defense is gonna be dominant, and they're gonna have a good running game as long as Richardson is healthy

Speaking of that, whats the deal with Menzie? is he hurt bad?

Apparently he's not hurt at all. He practiced yesterday

Return a ton on D, are not reliant upon the O to win games, and get the toughest games at home.

Solid OL
Talented backs
Stout defense
The big question mark is QB, and our offense doesn't exactly require the QB to do a whole lot for us to win.

I'm not sold on the Offense. At all. That said, this could be one of the best defensive teams we have seen in a long time.

1. Bama has what will be one of the top offensive lines in the country.
2. Heisman candidate RB, and good backups.
3. Return 9 of 11 on defense and will be top 10 in the country in just about every defensive category.
Who should be ranked ahead of Bama, and what did they lose from last year?

Because they're stacked on D, have recruited lights out with extremely talented depth, and have a favorable schedule. Also I doubt they'll regress on O as much as a lot of folks are hoping. Their O line should be one of the best in the nation and while McElroy was a great mistake free college QB the two behind him look to be more talented. Julio is probably the only guy that can't be replaced.

because they are arguably the most talented team in the country with one of the best head coaches to mentor them?

Are you saying they're not at least a top 5?
Who are you gonna put ahead of them?

All of what has been mentioned above.. plus the closest thing to a trap game we have this year is MSU after the LSU game.
This is probably the most lack-luster away schedule we have had in ages. Penn State, UF and the MS schools being the only real opponents we play away until going to AU at the end of the season.

Potential? Have you missed him the last two years? He led the SEC in all-purpose yardage in 2010. He has over 1,400 career rushing yards with 12 TDs.

Nagging injuries hampered him and the team a lot last year, hopefully we can keep him healthy this year. Bama wasn't a full, healthy team until the Michigan State game.
