@jagvocate SEC will expand to 14 or 16. candidates: TX A&M and OK first, then MO & TX or all 4. cont..

also looking at FSU, Clemson & Miami if Big 12 teams don't join
Nothing earth-shattering (same teams that have all been discussed already), but Sheridan is certainly making the rounds the last couple weeks.

Any theorized A&M move that doesn't involve Tech & Baylor just isn't happening......

Hmm. I disagree there. I think it's a forgone conclusion that A&M will be a part of the SEC within 5 years, likely sooner.
That said, I don't see any way Texas Tech or Baylor get an SEC invite along with A&M.
You could be right, but IMO Texas politics won't play a very big part in all this. Texas A&M is going to do what's best for them in the longrun, politics be damned.

Before, I would have agreed with this. Now I'm not so sure...

I don't want to play those damn schools. It just messes up traditional SEC games. I've had to stomach playing Arkansas for 18 years now.

I'm in favor of adding A&M to the West and another school in the East... or A&M/OU to the WEst and two schools in the East
But I do not want ANY CHANGES that require current SEC schools to switch divisions.

just shut your whore mouth, and you won't have to play those West teams. You and Auburn will either be in the ACC or banished from the SEC altogether into the East.

I'm all for anything that would put AU in the East.

AU and Bama in the East and A&M and Baylor added to the West.

Disappointed none of my fellow Barners have made a "bag-man" comment yet.

Yup, I'll even suffer those crazy Baptists if that's what it takes to play Florida and Tennessee again every year.

A Big12/SEC merger (which is what that feels like to me) would put Arkansas right in the middle of an expanded SEC West.
Upside to that for Arkansas is closer road games, and lots more traveling fans at our home games, meaning higher attendance. We probably have the lowest percentage of traveling fans of any SEC stadium right now.
That said, I am not in favor of expansion.
Keep it how it is, dammit.
