I'm sure having 24/7 media coverage has to be difficult on these coaches, but obviously, some are more talented than others with dealing with it. Especially during the difficult times.
What are some of the worst, most predictible "go to lines" that you can remember a head coach using ad nauseam?
My nominations:
#1) Mike Dubose: "This presents a tremendous challenge and a tremendous opportunity..."
#2) After today, Gene Chizik: "When I put my head on the pillow at night...."

There were two mentions of bad Bama catchphrases.

I got tired of hearing "we were just a play or two away" or "if the ball bounced the other way..." after every loss along with hearing how "special" every player was from 98-08...

I hate it when Nick Saban says "pleased and happy."
South Alabama's Joey Jones says "bottom line" a whole heck of a lot.
USA! USA! USA!

Those were each something he said once.
Another thing I find irritating in his speech pattern is when he says "a" player sometimes adding an awkward pause before adding the origin of the player for no apparent reason.
For example:
Generic reporter: What does the depth at running back look like for this year?
Nutt: It looks good. real good. When you have a Darren McFadden,........Little Rock, Arkansas......, and a Felix Jones combined with the full back like a Peyton Hillis,......Conway, Arkansas......, you have a hard time finding touches for Michael Smith,.....Tallahassee, Florida....., special groups of athletes, special.
He would always add the hometown of instate players and players from "hot bed" recruiting areas.

I knew these were coming. Was going to post them if I didn't see them. They didn't bother me, but I know how mad those phrases upset folks.
But, these phrases didn't bother me. Knowing what it is like to watch film of a game, especially one you lose, puts a game in perspective. Coaches watch the film hundreds of times. Running it back to see exactly what each player does on the play. Sometimes, watching all 22 players and what they did. You see exactly what "failed."
I've sat in that room. Watched that tape. Very different than watching the game live.
Work like heck? What do you want the guy to say on TV? He's not going to cuss.
