I would take Dooley over Miles. I think he will be a really good coach one day when he can get a decent team together up there.

However, I'd take Miles over Richt every frickin day and twice on Saturdays. Richt is too much of a softass to get it done in the SEC. If Miles had had the talent Georgia had in 08, they very well may have been playing for the NC instead of Florida. I'm not gonna say for SURE that they could have beaten Tebow that year, but it would have come down to the wire for sure. And Bama DAMN sure wouldnt have beaten the ever-lovin-fug out of them like we did because that Black Out garbage would have never happened.

KY and Vandy are foregone conclusions and there obviously no helping USCe at all, ffs they have The Old Ball Coach and can barely limp through the East in its worst year in the last decade only to get disintegrated by Cammy Cam.

Miss St is a toss up, im undecidd on Mullen. He's good, but he's a little too flashy at a school where the only flash comes off some of those redneck's newly polished cowbells.

Ole Miss could possibly be better with old No Shirt back so they would DEFINITELY be better with Miles.

TL;DR

Miles is prolly one of the top 4 coaches in the league but the number is shakey cause im undecided on a couple and a couple havent been around long enough to know.

I'd take Miles over Joker, Mullen, Spurrier, Richt, Nutt, Chiz, and Dooley. Franklin and Muschamp are unknowns.

It's honestly close at this point because nobody knows that much about Dooley. But he is basicly supposed to be "Saban Lite" which could work well especially at a school like Tenn.

Time will have to be the deciding factor here, I just have faith in the boy, plus they are both equally entertaiing when they open their mouths.

I think I would too. I haven't seen what Dooley can do yet, maybe in a couple of years I may change my mind.

Miles would never work at Auburn becaues he is too bullheaded. You have to be a yes man to coach in Lee County. The boosters have WAY too much to do with the program for someone with a hard head to work. Chiz is honetly PERFECT for that school. He is smart, he knows how to coach around the meddlers.

No way I take Miles over Spurrier. If he was back at FL he would have picked up right where he left off when he bailed for the NFL I think. I could be wrong though, he does spend a lot of time on the golf course in his older years.

You're an idiot then. Petrino has a great offense, but his commitment to defense is minimal and always have been. He will NEVER win the SEC with that level of commitment.

100% right

You almost have to have a defensive minded coach to go the distance in the SEC with a FEW exceptions. And very few at that.

Yeah...that's why we will have one of the better DL's in the league this year...We went from 12th in 2008 to 5th in 2010 in total D.

But you know I would keep Petrino over Miles...that wasn't my comment. I know it hurts

Can't say I would. I think Nutt has a winning record vs. Miles with arguably less talent. That makes Nutt better. And plus, Nutt looks like my uncle.

This, except that I think that Dooley has a lot of upside, so I'd like to give him another couple of years to pass final judgment, and Chiz is fine until Malzahn leaves. Petrino is a good fit at the flagship, Saban is doing well at UA.

I think that Miles is a phenomenal recruiter and a very good coach (except for the odd, inexplicable play call here and there). My question is, should he be doing more with the talent that he has on hand? Honestly, he's probably sitting on more raw talent than anybody not named Muschamp.

I sincerely wish we could bring him back. Not as a head coach, but as a recruiting coordinator and as an assistant on the D-line. Our 2008-2009 seasons were very good because of his recruiting. He proved that we can get Atlanta worthy talent to come to Ole Miss.
