I just want to know why no one bothered to check into this before. I took SBB a full week to check into these documents. You would think someone from the Birmingham News, the Montgomery Press-Register, or even a national outlet like Yahoo! Sports would have checked up on Winston's claims.

Because they know its a non-story. Even if Peaches did get money from whats his name, if there's a pre-existing relationship, it means nothing.

Exactly. SportsbyBrooks even mentioned this in his article.

SportsbyBrooks tweets:

quote:

Since Bama compliance decided Peaches + Woodruff = Pre-Existing, mortgage, bank statements irrelevant

quote:

Bama compliance: Woodruff could buy Peaches a Carnival Cruise ship for Pensacola trips and NCAA cool with it.

I'm glad he's finally admitting this after deleting several comments with this information below his article.

Too bad he didn't stick with his AU commitment. That would have been the 20th investigation of Auburn for the year.

Brooks only became involved in this story after Alabama's day-long investigation turned up nothing. He thought it suspicious and wondered how Alabama could investigate such a matter so quickly. I wonder if the man ever stopped and asked if Alabama's compliance department hadn't already done their homework on the Woodruff-Winston-Calloway triangle?

The key is will the NCAA agree that DW is not a booster. You never know how they will rule.

No, actually its not. If Im a bama booster, and my best friend since we were 6 has a son who is a recruit, that does not preclude me from giving things to my best friend. See the Tee MArtin example I gave. A re-existing relationship trumps booster. Hence the "He could buy peaches a carnival cruise ship" line.

ddA - you've really got to be dumber than AlaHunter. Honestly, have you ever kissed a woman?

...unless she kissed you back it doesn't count. Plus she can't be related to you and buying a hooker doesn't count.

Seriously youre a bigger loser than morons than infest woolyal.com and ITAT.

That doesn't matter at all. There is a preexisting relationship between Peaches and Woodruff that goes back 20 years. Woodruff could give the guy cash payments for thousands of dollars every week and the NCAA could do nothing.

You're going to have a hard time arguing that a guy who's never attended Alabama, given money, or bought season tickets is a booster. Good luck with that fiction.

I think ddA should change his thread title to "As the Barn Cries....Again."

I thought J "Barney Fife" Lee already determined that he was not a UA booster?
