I would like to see some article that states it that way because from everything I've read Peaches didn't take in Calloway until he was a freshman in high school.

That still doesn't get rid of the fact that Woodruff and Peaches were best friends long before Calloway arrived on the scene. And, as per Calloway in those same articles, he didn't start for his high school team until his sophomore year.

Brent Calloway was adopted by Winston when he was young. That's when Woodruff met Calloway.

wrong, but thanks for playing. Brent moved in with Peaches so he could play football at Russelville and then move on to UA. His mother is still alive and still has custody. The whole foster parent deal is a sham. Brent said in an interview as a freshman in high school that he was moving only to play football

I hope he wasn't serious. That was the funniest post I've read on here.

But he still befriended Calloway BEFORE he was ever offered a scholarship by any football team. Saban didn't offer him until the end of his sophomore year.

You seem to be claiming that Peaches and Woodruff planned this out a full year before any football team offered him a scholarship. That's a little risky, isn't it?

he was twice the size of other 14 year olds and dominated varsity in the 8th grade. That is why Russelville recruited him

Calloway played at Florence as an 8th grader.... he moved in with peaches so he could play at RHS. There is no "peaches is just a great human for taking in this poor kid" .... this was a calculated move to get exposure for college (and it worked perfectly). Brent's mom is alive and working.

On the question as to whether or not Woodruff befriended him for his athletic abilities.

quote:

No. Nobody in Russellville knew, and I didn't even know, that I was going to be good. Nobody knew. I just popped out of the blue. My ninth grade I had to sit out so nobody ever saw me play. Darren hadn't even seen me play. We were friends way before anybody knew or I knew I was good at football. I didn't start playing football until eighth grade.

Look, the same thing happens at North Jackson. Does anyone remember Ray Keller? They recruited them to North Jackson with the understanding that if they were good enough to play at D1 then they went to Alabama. Their parents got jobs while they were in high school but would lose those jobs if the kid went to AU or TN. North Jackson is right on the TN border so it is recruited pretty heavily by UT. That is how Fulmer knew Ray Keller was paying players.

Here's what goes down.
Calloway is ruled ineligible.
Bama is ruled not to have broken any rule. Calloway signs with LSU.
Aburn is still a sack of dicks.

Who did he buy it from? That was a payment. I have yet to see any piece of property sell for $2000

You probably dont realize it but you just opened a whole new avenue for investigation because property was sold way under value.

We need to know who sold it to him

There was this one guy I knew in eighth grade, a running back who could not be stopped. Literally every time he touched the ball he went 20 yards or more. When he got to high school he went from averaging 20 yards per carry to 3.8 yards per carry.

Just because you are good in the eighth grade does not mean you are going to be a Division I athlete.

So, in other words what you guys are saying is if I grew up with Calloway and knew him for a long time.... and I gave him $20,000 to go to Auburn that would be legal?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd like someone to answer this question...... someone tell me this is legal.

Ill gladly answer it. friend of Tee Martins loaned him 30,000 dollars before he went to tennessee. Because there was a pre-eisting relationship, the ncaa didnt touch it.

Yes, he has opened up a new can of worms. In 2000, Alabama saw BC playing in the yard at around the ripe age of 7 and said "That kid is gonna be something someday. Some of our boosters need to sell them some property dirt cheap"

This. Woodruff and Winston go back 20 years. Jeff Lee alleges that those payments were made DIRECTLY to Peaches. Even if those payments did happen...they've known each other for so long the NCAA will just turn away from it because they can't prove that those payments were football related. Just ask Tee Martin.
