Eventually I end up making the rounds to every SEC city and I would like to hit up some cool spots I otherwise wouldn't know about. I imagine others on this board will do the same and It would be cool to have a dedicated thread for us to check out before a trip.

I'll start, for Baton Rouge, Churchill's is a pretty cool bar and DiGulio Brothers is a bad arse Italian Place about the size of a small house.

Dave's Darkhorse Tavern in Starkville

Very chill place that has good live music, and is located by the Legendary Regal Inn.

Creole Shack and Willies have awesome food. Auburn Ale House is the only place that isn't well known.

Some dumbass I met in Gulf Shores told me about a secluded pub somewhere in T-Town along the Black Warrior River which has supposedly been around since the days that Pirates patrolled that very river. He claimed they'd stop in and snatch up every woman they could find to be their love slaves.

HOWEVER, every person with more than half a brain I've ever encountered has never heard a thing about it.

Have eaten at the one in Roswell. Not high on my list of BBQ, but cool name and would still like to visit the original since I have heard so much about it.

If you need booze, hit up the 10th Ave package store just up from Harry's. It is a little "urbane" if you will...but the prices aren't as steep as ABC or whatnot.

yea, the one in Birmingham is garbage. They only cook their ribs for about 45 minutes on high heat. The one in T-town still does it right. Low and slow.

For Auburn places: Creole Schack, Willie's, The Catfish Cabin.
