Mack Brown is not a freshman, so it COULD be Lane and Crowell

Crowell had 1,721 yards rushing on 147 carries and 18 TDs as a senior

Lane got arrested for smoking weed and only played in 5 games after blowing out his ACL. "Totaled 45 carries for 601 yards and six touchdowns along with six receptions for 82 yards and a TD"

But, please, continue to base the Crowell-Lane debate off of one game in the Georgia state semifinals

False. Marlin Lane was arrested because there was weed in a car he was in and then passed a drug test. You do realize that 1700 yards in 14 games is not that impressive for a high school player in georgia's second weakest division right? Ill take 601 yards on 45 carries any day.

I don't see what the argument is. IC will start. Lane probably won't. The stats won't be close.

i take umbridge to that. Buford alone negates that crap. our AA school beat AAA teams that were considered top of their classification. you cannot say he's worse because he played at a smaller school. weak sauce

so Marlin Lane had about 13 ypc in 5 games and Crowell managed about 11 ypc in 14 games. 11 ypc is still impressive in any HS division over the span of 14 games. You're talking out of your arse, give it up

Dude there are like 3 good teams in AA. AAA is much deeper. Carver beat Buford 14-0. Crowell didnt dominate.

He had 188 yards and a 50 yard TD run. But keep on trying

Carver tied for the most college signees in all of the state. And that is the best he could do against AA? Couldnt even get by Calhoun?

So Calhoun drew up a good gameplan (ask those who actually witnessed the game, they'll say the same thing. The Carver coaches kept on trying to ram Crowell down Calhoun's throats and they just stood him up at the line). You're hinging your entire argument on one game in which Crowell still racked up 94 yards and had a 90 yd TD run called back on a penalty.
