When we had the Tad Pad painted years ago, the guy who painted it was an LSU grad. He painted the ceiling a dark blue, but used a paint where when faded after years, turned to purple. We had a purple ceiling for the longest time because of that prick.

In the 2010's Auburn fans dug up Bear Bryant and set his casket on fire in front of Denny Chimes.
...whatever it takes to get them to realize he's dead.

This may be the FIRST true attack... that killed something and tried to kill a tradition... Yes there have been pranks going back to highschools, but this goes beyond anything....
this will cost a lot of money to fix, will probable require the land be dug up and will almost certainly kill trees that have been on campus forever.
This was a sick person...

The Wreck Tech Pajama Parade originated in 1896, when a group of mischievous Auburn ROTC cadets, determined to show up the more well-known engineers from Georgia Tech, sneaked out of their dorms the night before the football game between Auburn and Tech and greased the railroad tracks. According to the story, the train carrying the Georgia Tech team slid through town and didn't stop until it was halfway to the neighboring town of Loachapoka, Alabama, The Georgia Tech team was forced to walk the five miles back to Auburn and, not surprisingly, were rather weary at the end of their journey. This likely contributed to their 45–0 loss. While the railroad long ago ceased to be the way teams traveled to Auburn and students never greased the tracks again, the tradition continues in the form of a parade through downtown Auburn. Students parade through the streets in their pajamas and organizations build floats. This tradition has recently been renewed with Georgia Tech returning to Auburn's schedule after nearly two decades of absence.[

In '99 the night before the LSU-UGA, someone got a truck inside Sanford stadium and cut donuts all over the field.

They had to replace the sod in some areas, but you could still see tire and drag marks all over the place.

From Wikpedia
In the 1950s, Mike the Tiger (Mike I) was kidnapped by Tulane fans before a Tiger-Green Wave football game. He was found, abandoned, in New Orleans -- he and his cage sprayed Tulane green.
One memorable incident involving Mike IV began in the early-morning hours of November 28, 1981 when pranksters cut the locks on Mike's cage. The tiger roamed freely for hours, attacked a small tree, and appeared to be enjoying himself before becoming trapped in the Track Stadium near his cage. Three tranquilizer shots later, the wandering mascot was returned to his home without further incident and awoke without ill effects.
This happened during my time at LSU and we assumed that since it happened the weekend of the LSU-Tulane game in New Orleans (and fortunately during the Thanksgiving break) that the "pranksters" were Greenies.

The legend, accepted by both schools for decades, claims that the name came about due to an prank led by students of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas.[9][10][11] It is true that in 1916, four Texas A&M Aggies kidnapped the longhorn and branded him with "13 - 0", the score of A&M's 1915 win over Texas.[9][12][11] Texas students are rumored to have retaliated by changing the steer's brand to Bevo. Bevo was fattened up and served at a football banquet in 1920, due to the fact the university did not have the money to take care of him and he was not tamed to roam the campus.[9][12] The Aggies were fed the side they had branded and presented with the hide, which still read Bevo.

Probably the perfect storm of alcohol, apathy, insanity and a serious lack of intelligence.
