This is pretty low. I don't approve of this and I send my apologies to the Barners. You just don't mess with tradition.

This is seriously fricked up. How shitty that a bunch of asshats can ruin one of the great traditions in college football.

I'm totally disgusted by this...

It sucks, but looking ahead, they can transplant new ones in right? Obviously it wouldn't bring back the 130 year old ones, but it would look much better than a bare patch of dirt.

This is not cool and so way overboard. I am hopeful that some Auburn fans don't do something just as dumb in retaliation. Shite like this needs to stop.

This just speaks to the pathetic state of affairs in the state of Alabama. People are way too consumed by an ultimately meaningless "rivalry." It applies to both sides, and this act just pushes things way too far.

You guys have to admit, this was inevitable. One day some drunk barner with a pickup truck will steal the Bear statue just like we all knew some stupid tard would either poison or saw down the Toomers trees. It's sad.

Disgusting. The culprit(s) should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Wow! This is horrible. I hope they catch the fool or fools who did this. I suspect if a Bama Fan did this and gets caught then Auburn has huge motivation to pound Bama at home this Fall. You don't destroy a fan ritual that is the soul of the schools football program and not expect a response.

This is an absolute f**king disgrace! The person(s) responsible should do prison time for this shite!
It is one thing to root against your rival, but to deface property and kill symbols of a tradition is criminal, malicious, and scary. The idiots who did this are beyond stupid!

Even though I've had so many pictures of those trees e-mailed and texted to me over the years after Iron Bowl losses and hated them, I know that 99% of true UA fans think this is disgusting. I feel sorry for AU fans about their loss. It's also inviting someone equally ignorant to reciprocate in some way. Why don't we just stick to t-shirts?
