Decatur? What a joke
I'm not saying it's New Orleans, but Decatur is full of thugs. That's the reputation is has around here.
quote:
Decatur, Alabama is in the 70% percentile rank in the state for Violent Crime. It is in the 79% percentile rank nationally. Lower numbers are better. In this case, 70% of cities in Alabama have crime rates equal to or lower than Decatur, or said another way, 30% of cities in Alabama have crime rates higher than Decatur.

You know what his problem is? I'll bet he is on the dope...

McClain told police he was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe on Second Street S.W.
Most of the Streets that have S.W. behind them need to be avoided imo.
I'm glad no one was hurt.

That is a stupid comment, especially if you have no proof.
And if he is "on the dope" according to you, wouldn't it be dumb of him to call the police immediately after it happened?
Sounds like the ITAT rumor mill is cranking up.

I live in SE but not all of SW is bad - the newer areas out the Beltline are nice but where he was borders on NW - NOT the best area.
I've been here 15 years and I don't think I have ever been where he was.
He grew up rough and I know he probably still has friends there but he has to get that things aren't like they used to be.
Some of those "friends" would rob his arse and leave him in a ditch.

How messed up is it that he commutes in Oaktown with no incident, and gets shot up while rolling through his home town of Decatur, Alabama...?

It seems there is more going down than we know....here is a facebook post by him 3 hours ago.

I bet he lives in a much nicer place in the Bay Area than he does in Decatur.
I don't think he has upgraded his Mom - they have a bad history. He stays with a white doctor and his family when he comes home.
And, as I mentioned, most of his childhood friends are rough and still live in the hood.

Whiskey or the bible, a shot glass or revival. When you don't seem to run on either side of the fence, people act like you don't make sense. These big town dreams that I've been chasing will never come true if I wind up staying. And I don't want to fall in the same rut that everybody seems to be stuck in now. Why do I hang around in this church pew or bar stool kinda town?
