Auburn Fans v. Bama Fans

This sounds like a stupid question, but hear me out:
Why do Bama fans hate Auburn fans so much? As an LSU fan living in AL it seems to me that it's not justified. AU isn't a historically dirty team, they constantly get screwed out of championships and just move on without claiming them, and their fans are usually pretty nice people. Compare that to Alabama, one of the best programs over time, but a team that seems to be constantly under fire for some kind of violation. i get that it's a strong rivalry, but if anyone should be pissed, it should be AU not Bama.

They are 3rd all time nationally and lead the SEC in total major NCAA infractions, FWIW.

The majority of Bama fans hate on Auburn no matter what and the same goes with Auburn fans hating on Bama.

For the LSU fan, Tennessee fan, or Arkansas fan, you have no idea of having to "share" the state with another decent rival within your state. Any one from Louisiana can automatically be assumed to be a Tiger fan, etc. In Alabama, it has to be shared. On TV, the sports segment on the newscast will have one feature on Alabama, then have one on Auburn.
You have to have Auburn in your face at about half the times (and I am sure they wouldn't care to hear Alabama coverage, either.)

Honestly, I don't know and don't care how many violations either team has. It's an in-state rivalry...it doesn't get any more heated than that. LSU doesn't have an in-state rival (in the SEC or a true OOC competitive rival) so I understand that the disparagement could be misunderstood from an outsider's perspective.

heh... people like this guy are only out achieved at failing by people that actually TRY to develop a user name that is actually believably a real fan of another school. u know, they may try to get around 1000 posts before trying to push their hidden agenda.

Auburn fans are continuously trying to get Alabama's program put on probation. Just check out their forum, ITAT.
They make up rumors and spread them (See Brodie Croyle dying in Argentina on a hunting trip.) They stalk Alabama players and recruits (See all the Gadsden crap, following player's mother's car around and taking pictures of the tag, and recently following Ingram and Julio's vehicles down the interstate taking pictures.) They even sent information in a brown envelope with supposedly rules violation info in it (See Red Dog and Paul Finebaum receiving envelope from an anonymous Auburn fan.)
They do other stuff too. This has been going on for decades. They don't won't to compete with Alabama when we are at full strength.

i am serious, like i said, it sounds criminally insane to say that. all I'm saying is that i see alot more bama fans attacking AU fans than the other way around

this is what I'm looking for. since I've had to deal with all of the stuff from 09 it would be fair to say im butthurt about Alabama, just wanted a fact based argument for the other side.
