Just imagine if Alabama was like LSU in the sense that we combined all of our talent in the state and only had one college that represented the state of Alabama. I mean who does LSU compete against in recruiting in Louisiana? Tulane? Julio, Ingram, Fairly, Cam would be sick. Oh well enough imagining, I guess we will just have to win crystal balls on our own like UA 2009 and AU 2010.

I've always wondered the same about the Mississippi schools. Let's say you took the best of both schools this past season. You have Masoli at QB with Bolden and Ballard in the backfield. You've got State's OL + Pussy Monsta up front. State's defense, Ole Miss' special teams, etc etc etc.
That's a 10-win in the SEC type of team.

This thread screams of dumb.
UF is way worse off than UA with regard to recruiting competition for other in-state schools. Not to mention all the ones out of state schools come and get.

Right because Louisiana isn't a redneck state.
By the way, do you know when I might be able to catch swamp people or billy the exterminator on the tube today?

Cam would have played for the State of Mississippi Rebel Dogs in this scenario.

I don't think he was saying that UF is better off...just pointing out what kind of dominance other programs could/should have if they were in LSU place with no in state competition for recruiting...UF is definitely in the same boat...they have more competition but they also have more talent coming out of the state as well...per capita of course...

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Considering the amount of talent in Florida there is plenty to go around the to the Big 3. Alabama and Auburn fight over maybe 4-7 elite prospects every year. Florida has about 30 to go around.
