Hey man... Did you hear about what happened to Sadam Hussein? They FOUND him... yeah, they also hung him for his punishment... Wasn't sure if you caught the news since you're so far behind the curve here.

Germans or not, the whole thing is a manufactured controversy. His son was playing football and he wanted to watch. THE HORROR!!!

Maybe he led the team in their pregame prayer. I mean he is a minister.

How is that "trouble". I am glad to see it. (was glad when I saw it a while ago, but I am not a "germans" guy)

Anyway, the dad SHOULD have been there. And, claiming he would not go simply kept the cameraman from constantly showing him and turning the game into a rehash of the issue.

I am GLAD the dad got to be there for that. Whatever happens in the future, so be it.

I heard he was supposed to be doing the math on how much money they would make staying at Auburn vs. going to the NFL. He must have finished it up early.

Dad and Auburn had agreed he would not attend the game. Auburn said he would not be there, which was mutually agreed upon. This is why you did not see Mom & Dad sitting together.

Now, with this said. I do not blame him for going. I would not miss anything if my son had been in this position

It just illustrates what the Newtons think about rules.

Rules don't apply to them.

Cecil is not a victim, nor is Cam.

And, again I ask: How is this "trouble".

It was a smokescreen to keep the cameras from showing him every other play (and commentators having to rehash it each time).

Even it it were a real 'gentleman's <sic> agreement'....so what? It is not as if it was some rules violation and anyone is getting in "trouble" for it.

I do not ocnsider it "trouble." I find it amusing that it was mentioned Cecil would be attending the game. Shortly thereafter, AU states he would not attend. I can understand why AU would want to distance themselves, but maybe on campus?

Goes further to JJ as well I think. To release a statement as AU did to be proven false within hours smells. Hard to believe a word anyone involved has to say. True, false or somewhere in between.

Even if you think it was wrong, rules don't apply to him. He's a Newton.

How long did it take you to think that one up?
