Calloway, during an interview this afternoon, told Rivals' Mike Ferrell that "the depth there is..., I can't deal with it" when asked about trying to compete for a spot at RB at Alabama. Earlier in the interview, he practically laughed off the suggestion of him competing for a LB slot. If you have a Rivals sub, the link to the interview is below.

Obviously he sees himself as a RB. Auburn told him they'll give him a shot there. case closed.

we know and this will not go well. He made the right decision. If he is goign to end up at LB though I think LSU would have been the better decision but he wants rb. If we close with Cllowney and Crowell and Cyrus all will be well and this wont sting so much.

If emoticons were turned on, I would place the "cheers" one as shown below.

You should be OK as long as he doesn't know.

Paying for players is so much more fun than not paying for players.

I think we tried to do it when you guys did it, but we sucked at it pretty terribly. Looks like we've got it down to a science now.

The #1 player in the state of Alabama needs a little self esteem.

"I've seen the depth a linebacker at Alabama and it's stiff, and there's guys there that is twice my size. They have played this sport and played this position for so long now, so that's why I'm making it to the point where, now I feel like hey, I should just go head and play running back."

Interviewer: the interesting thing is there are some big time backs at Alabama... you seem to fit their mold, why wouldn't they give you a shot at running back?

"they said I could play running back but they are going to have to end up putting me where they need me, It's like they got six guys on scholarship, so many walk-ons and you have another guy coming in on scholarship. Then you got to get the ball to somebody, everybody wants the ball, everybody can't have the ball. So that's why the depth there, I can't deal with it and be number seven on the bench, you know what I'm saying. Not saying I don't have the ability to work myself up, but it's a fact that everybody can't get the ball."

have to give it to the Auburn coaching staff, not sure how many kids could be sold on the pitch that they are not good enough to play for team A so you should just settle for team B. But hey, if he wants to play RB, then Bama got the best of the deal in Hart.

Seems to lack confidence in his own ability.

I'd agree with this statement. Maybe he'll turn out great at Au, who knows, best of luck to him.

He'll spend less than a week in Spring with the RBs...then its off to a career in LB land.
