I swear I must be the only one that doesn't think this is some huge diss on Auburn. Do people in the northwest know where Clemson is? Vanderbilt? To say that they all know where in Alabama tuscaloosa is is pretty idiotic. If i had a push pin and a map of oregon, could i place it where Eugene is? Nope.

I would be interested if they asked questions like "what university is located in tuscaloosa (Athens etc.)" if any would have any clue.

Being from Atlanta I always joked how Georgia should send in their national guard to extend the state lines to take in Auburn (Jacksonville Fl too).

But I guess having your states name in your university makes you better.

PS: I still have no clue where Gonzaga is but sure as hell doesn't mean they aren't good at basketball!

It's not. I think it is good if we are associated with the state of alabama as little as possible. I maintain we are located in west georgia.

In about 8 days, they may still not know where we are, but I suspect they will know who we are and know they do not want to frick with us or another top SEC program ever again.

Isn't this more of a indictment of the state of education in Oregon?
