Doug Moreau(former DA) just gave a great defense for Cecil

I'm surprised his idea hasnt been dreamed up on ITAT yet. He said that Cecil can say that he wanted Cam to go to an upstanding university and he asked MSU for money, just to see if they were a clean program.
It will be fun to see the kind of crap the lawyers can come up with.
It also made me realize that alot of what we get through the media may just be part of the game. For all we know, Bell has the text messages but put it out there that they were lost, just so the other side will continue to hang themselves.

Yea, I would go with that one. We can all go back to work now (well, actually I am retired so I guess I can go hunting).

its obviously horsecrap, but when you are caught red handed, you have to dream up crap like this.

There's only one problem with that argument. $Cam made public comments about wanting to go there, MSU didn't pay, and yet Cecil chose to NOT send his kid to a school that proved they were clean (at least under the test set up by Slaverunner Cecil).

Yeah, and when they turned him down, he let his son go to the school with a proven history of cheating. Pure genius.

BINGO!!! You can only lie so long before one of them grabs you by the arse!

He could say that if he wants, and he may be a minister and all... but anyone with a nose could smell that it is bullshite.

So if you get busted for soliciting a prostitute you can tell the cops, "I was just trying to see if she was a hooker or not."

Yeah...great idea except that once he gets to here:
...it doesn't really matter what came after it because he just ended his son's career in the SEC.

Moreau is an ex-LSU (All-American) and former professional football player, and current color commentator for football on LSU's radio network. He was DA in Baton Rouge for a number of years, resigned to run for district judge and served in that capacity for several years, then he resigned to run and be reelected as DA. He is former DA because he chose to be "former."
I suspect his comments were somewhat tongue-in-cheek, in responding to the question of how might one defend Cecil. There just aren't that many options if the allegations are true.
From a website:
Doug Moreau
Mr. Moreau, recently retired District Attorney of East Baton Rouge Parish, has one of the most varied and interesting backgrounds of any panel member of Perry Dampf Dispute Solutions. Mr. Moreau, a former All American football player at Louisiana State University, has served as an attorney, adjunct professor, elected judge, district attorney and mediator. He enjoys an unblemished reputation as a value driven, highly credible legal professional who understands that fairness is critical to the process of settlement. Mr. Moreau’s easy going, but confident, professional style is recognized by diverse constituencies as major assets for dispute resolution.

How is that not still solicitation? "No, your honor. I offered that woman money for a blowjob just to see if she was a prostitute."

Moreau would know.
Remember when a Baton Rouge judge plowed through a sign at the 10/12 split? He was far from sober as a judge and the sign hit some poor Asian couple's car. Judge got the case thrown out by getting the company that makes the breathalyzer to testify that the state didn't calibrate the breathalyzer per the company's specs.
An ingenious defense trumps caught red handed every time. Worked for OJ, wouldn't be shocked if it works for Cecil & Cam...
I mean, IF Cecil did it...

I said this before that Doug Moreaux should be the next SEC Commissioner. I might have misspelled his name in my earlier post.

I don't think OJ's attorneys were the reason he was found not guilty. The fact that the case was heard in downtown LA had more to do with it than anything. OJ could have admitted to the killings and shown his home videos of it and that jury will still have aquitted him.
